nice fruity complexity for a Berliner Weisse. It is probably a bit to sour and way too much alcohol to be a real thirst quencher. I do understand the original concept of Berliner Weisse and I also understand fruit additions, but I do not understand the imperialization. As it is only kettle soured it does not reach the complexcity of a sour. Not bad at all but also not a keeper

Milky, dusky pink; raspberry yoghurt! Big berry smack, lactic hit, mushy orchard fruit middle, and a clean end; crisp + dry.

Sour, yeah, but that creaminess in the middle makes this easy. Lactose: I’ll allow it. Pears lay a good foundation for the blackberry. Not sure it’s up to J Wakefield standard, but pleasant + gulpable.

Pours a hazy, pink'ish purple coloration with a large, foamy, pink head. Smells of wheaty malt and blackberries, with a hint of pears and estery yeast coming through as well. Taste is dominated by a lovely tart blackberry note, as well as lighter notes of pear, wheaty malt and just a hint of estery and slightly funky yeast notes, with a good acidity. Finishes with a medium tartness/acidity and some blackberries and very mild funk lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Not a Berliner Weiße, but a very nice fruited Kettle Sour with lovely fruit notes and light wheat and yeast accents adding a bit of complexity to this while still maintaining a great overall balance. Very enjoyable.
