Got the 2024 version in cans. This is a DIPA. Pours hazy golden yellow into a tulip glass with a soft offwhite head and a bit of nice lacing with decent retention. On the nose, heavy mettle has green stonefruit and has a strong note of pineapple juice and a hint of pine and mint. On the pallate, we get a huge hit of pine turpines and pineapple juiciness that progresses into a creamy orange with a note of mango before a bitter hop bite. Mouthfeel is rather light, with med-light carbonation and a heafy finish of ABV that reminds you how boozy this brew really is. Not exacly thrilled with this one as the flavor follows a juicy pattern that doesn't provide character I expect from a DIPA. In short, this one is unremarkable for its category but standout in the shower. Cheers!

Alright, so no beer poet here but I'll try to tell you why I'm not crazy about it!
It's a triple...and it's VERY "triple-y"! It's too boozy. Some very well done triples drink like single IPA's. This one doesn't.
Otherwise it's good. It just doesn't blow my mind.
While we are on the subject, why does it seem most triples automatically get high scores and most pale ales get only average scores?

Great beer. I haven’t seen Trillium beers in the stores for years. They are in cans now. The Valley Malts from Western MA add exceptional character: very smooth MF, intense fruit and hoppy.
