This is my go-to everyday beer. You can't beat the price, strength or taste.
I love wisconsin for a lot of reasons but this deal of the decade is certainly one of them.
Hands down my most recommended beer. This is the best bang for your buck you'll find anywhere and it's still delicious and sophisticated. My wife can't complain that i'm spending too much and i can say i'm not drinking too much because i only have 3-4. Thanks Rhinelander, I love it.

I think we have some beer snobs here who see the low price and forget that every beer stands on it's own. No, this isn't a typical double IPA but it has a nice bready floral taste. It does taste more like a Belgium than an IPA but that is not inherently a bad thing. I enjoyed this beer enough that i bought another six pack and drank that up too. I think I'll have another.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange red with a fluffy white head. Smells of sweet grain with some citrus hops. Tastes of sweet grain with just a little bit of hoppiness, more wheat than anything. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an average beer, tastes pretty good, but not a good DIPA.

Literally made an account only to trash this garbage in a can. Why in pluperfect hell does a beer marketed as an India Pale Ale, a DOUBLE IPA for that mater, taste like its dominant flavor is F%*@ING WHEAT? I'm not saying this beer is objectively bad on principle, but it is 1000% not what it says on the tin. I get why an "American" style IPA might taste like this. But when your "IPA" tastes like you only, maybe, looked at some hops while making it you've failed at making an IPA and should call it something else.

This, in no way, resembles an IPA, but that's not surprising coming from a Minhas product. They usually put out utter trash, but I bit on this at $3.69 for a 6 pack to cook brats with. Anyway, it's absolutely not an IPA. This has banana, bubble gum, coriander, and it's a passable belgian that hides its alcohol content well. Not bad, but LOL this is not an IPA. Another reason why I think Minhas is a joke. I had to edit this because of just how thin this is. A DIPA should be more rich. This is winey and slim and again, it's a joke that they call this an IPA. Laughable. However, for $3.69 for six drinkable belgian dubbels it's not bad. Just rebrand it for the correct style. Doesn't change my opinion of Minhas. They ruin everything they touch.

Six pack copped from St. Cloud Liquors in West Orange. Pours a ruddy, copper hue with moderate frothing. Stagnant aroma replete with hints of citrus and clementines. Not bad.

Murcky dark copper with high carbonation and great lace retention. Balanced and smooth. Bitter but brief finish. Good for this category. A sessionable doublec IPA? Beware he high ABV. Get it if you can find it.

Pours from can a hazy, murky copper. Whitish head is a thick finger.
Nose is sweet malts mostly. Not bad as a break from usual overt hops.
Taste is the nice malt backbone with an overlay of general citrus. Earthy grains, a bitter bite.
Feels creamy, medium-thick with medium carbonation. Nice chewiness after a few sips.
While DIPA purists might call this cloying and teetering on astringent, I think it comes out as tasty. I could picture a miner thirsting for this. There’s plenty of earth and mineral in the flavor, and a hearty dose of malts that never get too sweet while still hitting a sweet spot.

Not a bad IPA, but not one to write home about. This one has a higher ABV (8.6%), which contributes to the metallic aftertaste. I prefer my IPAs on the Session-level for drinkability. Overall, not bad and a great bang for the buck.

I bought a sixer of this for the price of $5.55 because it is extremely rare that one can pick up a DIPA for less than $1 per beer. Needless to say, my expectations were not super high.

The nose was more bready than hoppy but the hop bitterness certainly showed up in the flavor profile. The hop flavor was a bit too astringent but it was definitely present in spades. There is a decent malt backbone to this with a touch of sweetness on the finish to contrast with the hops.

Definitely nothing to write home about but also definitely worth the price and better than the other ratings here might indicate.

Appearance - The beer pours an orange amber color with a small fizzy white head. The head fades rather fast to leave a tiny bit of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - Oddly the aroma is most of a coriander, clove, and banana giving the brew a more Belgium like smell overall. Mixed with these aromas are some smells of a light herbal and grainy smell. Not bad, but not very IPA like.
Taste - The taste begins with a bready and slightly fruity flavor of orange. While these tastes are big, other flavors of yeast, corriander, and clove are even bigger. As the taste advances some light hop of a grassy and herbal nature come to the tongue and are accompanied by some banana and yeast, leaving a light hoppy and sorta belgium strong like flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is rather moderate in thickness and carbonation. Overall, for the mix of light hop and belgium flavors the feel is alight, and makes for a rather decently easy drinker.
Overall- Not a bad brew. It is tasty, but not what I would consider an IPA. The brew has good yeasty and bready flavors but lacks a bit in its hop flavors. Overall good, but if you want something super hoppy than this may not be the best choice...
