Deep red in appearance, clear body with decent head. Head is away in a flash, like many that have gone before it, and is becoming a common issue for my sampling!

Aroma is difficult to pin down, too subtle, don't really get anything worth shouting about, the best I can do is a light caramel malt.

Taste is awesome, possibly one of the best tasting beers I have ever had, sweet figs, with tonnes of caramel aftertaste. This brew really hides the 10% ass kicking abv, and invites you to down another one immediately, which I will surly do!

Overall a real mixed bag of a beverage, great great great taste, but mediocre in aroma, and only very good everywhere else.......still this is a great beer from a mass producer, and not sure I'm on the same page as the rest of the BA troopers, but hey ho.

I won't review this as I got a strong sour after-taste no other reviewers detected. Must be me.

From elcervecero. In La Trappe chalice. Playing Goodbye Deponia. Not bad, but it has a bit more sweetness than desiderable and lacks some body. No foam.

Clear light brown color with a thick beige head with eternal retention and leaving strong laces.
Mild aroma with predominant notes of prunes, Belgian yeast, some coconut and caramel.
Malty flavor with notes of prunes, grains, cinnamon, noticeable booze, Belgian yeast, herbal hops, toffee, cranberry, wood and some toasted malts. Dry and alcoholic aftertaste.
Medium bordering full body with lively carbonation with tiny bubbles giving a smooth feeling. Alcohol of 10% abv is heavier than average for style.
Perfect day for a Quad, just not top notch. This missed nose intensity, some flavor complexity and alcohol could be better hidden. Still it did the trick and it grew over time. It also has a good depth with red fruits and a better hop balance for style.
