Bottle from a Dutch supermarket.
Look: Poured a golden amber color with a huge white head.
Smell: Malty, fruity (pine apple), honey cloves and some very light sourness.
Taste: Yeast, sweet malts, caramel and fruits (orange), with a dry spicy aftertaste. Sweet in general
Mouthfeel: High carbonation, medium body
Overall: Not my favorite tripel, too sweet

Blind-tasted.
L- Rich golden amber. Clear. 2Cm pillowy white fine-bubble head + some rising CO2.
S- Mmmm - that lovely estery Belgian yeast aspect.
T- Boof! Surprisingly bright on the front (1st sip of beer today). *Masses* of CO2 bubbles in the mouth. Gasiest Tripel I've ever had? Possibly too much. How do they get this much CO2 into a 9% versus the surface-tension of a higher ABV% beer - The mystery of the phoenix?
... Into bold trad hopping balanced nicely with solid malts. The high CO2 and bold hops imitate a sherbetty zing on the swallow. Perceptions of that might vary.
F- Well it's not over-heavy/cloying. It has notable bright hops and curiously rather OTT CO2. Notably hoppier/brighter than an average Tripel.
O- I've just realised I was so distracted by the CO2+hops I forgot a more predictable aspect I now register in the Taste. Banana notes from the hops.... nice. QED the drama distracted from the classical aspects. Perhaps I should focus on enjoying the beer than trying to figure out what it doing...
330ml bottle Bought from Trembling Madness York for home delivery. BB 4/10/23 £4.35

(33 cl bottle). Golden beer with a slight yeast haziness, large head. Very weak initial aroma, improves as the beer warms up - I get caramel, oak, honey and apricot. Very sweet fruity and honeylike flavour, next to cloying, low bitterness - a dessert beer, I'd say. Overall I'm a bit disappointed with this one, you expect more from the Belgians.

Pours a clear golden color with a big top of white head that dissolves slowly and leaves some sticky lacings.
The aroma is of banana, apples, peaches ,lemon zeest, honey, caramel and spices.
The taste is very sweet with fruity and yeasty notes , while some light malt notes lay in the back. It then goes to more spicy notes, before finish of with a medium bitterness. Quite sweet for a tripel, but else the balance is good.
Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A nice example of a tripel.

Draft at cafe in Paris park in front of the louvre
Big pillowy head fades slowly, nice lacing, clear honey blond color
Nose sweet blond malts, Belgian blonde and honey sweet malts, little candy sugar, fruit esters
Taste sweet candy malt, candy sugar, honey and Belgian blonde malts, more fruity esters, juicy fruits, pear apple like, fair phenol notes, faint alcohol on the drier back end
Mouth med to fuller bod, decent carb
Overall quite nice, not sure why it's so low rated, maybe bottles are not as great as the draft local to the brewery.

Pours a nice clear blonde with mediocre head.
Lacing is good to be fair.
Aroma is solid, full bready scent, ripe banana bread and yeast covers it.
Taste is sweet, the abv dominates, but still a subtle ripe fruit flavour, figs and honey.
Feel is also good, smooth, nothing harsh and no surprises in aftertaste.
Overall a very solid brew, 4/5 all day long.
