Double DreamyardDouble Dreamyard
Notes: Double Dreamyard is our award-winning exceptionally-rated juicy, hazy IPA that’s made entirely from oats and wheat and heavily hopped with Citra and Denali but, like, doubled. We took Dreamyard and overloaded it with everything: extra oats, extra wheat, extra Citra, extra Denali, and pumped up the ABV to 8.5%. The end result is a crazy smooth juicy whale of a DIPA that’s, like, really good.

A thanks to the captain of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is pineapple, oranges, a solid malt backbone, moderate bitterness. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.

I want to get to the point of this brew. Fantastic tropical nose and and even better pineapple tropical big taste. Almost creamy feel is nice. This is a good beer here. Personally recommend if you can find it. I may be under rating this beer if anything.

Could easily be packaged in a can from Other Half and I would be none the wiser. Admittedly I don’t think Minneapolis is putting out as much fire as St. Paul is right now, but I’d say Modist really has become the best in the game on this side of the river.

Total juice bomb, looks like pulpy grapefruit juice, and a dense off-white head. Citrus aromas dominate the nose, which is obvious with a Citra-hopped beer, but there’s also a spicy note that is really present on the taste as well, and elevates this significantly, IMHO. This is more than worthy of your time.

L: hazy straw gold permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 2.5" cream colored cap with fair to good retention

S: Citrus aromas weave through pie crust, biscuit, oats, fresh baked bread, mild alcohol, traces of earthiness, hints of dank and faint garlic and onion

T: Fruit and citrus start the flavors supported by pie crust, biscuit and oats and leading to a big clean citrus rind bitter finish that lingers pleasantly

F: body and carbonation are medium

O: Hitting the mark between big but not too big and buttressing that with clean crisp flavors make this beer very drinkable and repeatable

Pours an opaque apricot with a thick cream head that slowly recedes and leaves fantastic lacing. Aroma is a mix of tropical and citrus fruits. Flavor follows the nose with only the slightest touch of a hop bitterness in the finish. Thick creamy mouthfeel. Overall another outstanding beer from these folks.

Can. White head. Super hazy vibrant orange juice color.

Orange, mango, and pineapple. This is straight up tropical juice. It’s only a few days so it’s a bit green yet, but still drinking incredibly for a dipa. No abv or bitterness. Very well done.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. Stamped on can bottom is '06/291810:07'.
Turbid pale gold colored body. Thin white head upon pouring settles to scattered cap and ring. Leaves behind strings of lacing.
Aroma has lots of oats, with citrus hops in the background. Likely some wheat present also.
Taste is where the fruity hops appear, with the flavors of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, with a hint of pineapple towards the end. Lots of backing malts, oat and wheat. A touch of hop bite, but bitterness is very minimal.
Thicker mouth feel, with a syrupy touch. Medium carbonation.
Modist is another one of those breweries that goes its own way, and makes known beer styles with distinctive touches. This one exhibits a lot of the oat and a touch of the wheat. Hops provide an enjoyable flavor and the amalgam of its parts is a positive experience. Kind of out there but very good. Appearance is very thick.

Pours a thick hazy dull straw yellow color. smell is citrus ,fruit berries and a tropical mix. Taste is very fruity citrus oranges and grapefruit mostly with hints of pineapple and passion fruit. Mouth feel soft and fruity. ABV hidden however tropical hops are not. Top notch NEIPA with a double dose here.
