16oz can served in a sample glass. Part of Extreme Beer Fest.
Pours slightly hay, mostly clear, light yellow, medium head. Smell is lager, a little oak, some lagery funk. Marshmallow is there basically only because I know it's an ingredient -- I wouldn't pick it out otherwise.
Taste is confusing. Some oak, some grass bitterness, definitely some marshmallow sweetness. Maybe too much sweetness. Might be some other sweetness. Vanilla is pretty clear.
Mouthfeel is medium to thick. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.

DATE: February 6, 2021... OCCASION: the second beer of the night for me--already in good shape!...GLASSWARE: Baltika pokal... pours a clear, clean, bubbly golden yellow body, its head is a four-fingered white thickness akin to snow... great head retention... cream ale, marshmallow, banana, clove, vanilla, and pilsner hops...this flows so easily, with a creamy lactose draw that refreshes and invigorates simultaneously... the lagerish aspects make this all the more enjoyably sippable, belying its 7+ ABV... the vanilla kills this; the marshmallow makes this a dessert worth mulling over... the balance of the sweetness and dryness is impressive--another winner from the EBF box... might be my favorite so far, and that is saying something

Hazy amber with an impressive white head. Aroma is just one note: vanilla. Yes, it is sweet. Flavor: a fruity lager with marshmallow, lots of vanilla, bread, banana & cream. Medium feel with adequate carbonation. Overall; lots of marshmallows!

This one isn't at all what I was expecting. It's a nice tasting, very sweet lager. The flavor profile for me was mainly just sweet. Come to think of it, I don't really LIKE marshmallows, so that might be part of the problem.

L: Golden with a touch of haze, thin head, no lacing.
S: At first, fairly strong apple-like yeast esters, almond extract, and bready maltiness. As the beer warms the marshmallow really starts to come out.
T: Warm marshmallowy flavors abound. Vanilla, butter, almond extract, and even toasted coconut come into play as well.
F: Very thin with a slight slight slickness maybe due to diacetyl (it works in the flavor though). I would like to have this beer with a lot more body.
Overall: A really tasty beer that delivers on the promise of marshmallow flavor, perhaps a bit light bodied but tastes great.

My go to beers are oak-aged imperial stouts, so I was intrigued to see a lager in this style, since I'm not a fan of thinner, lighter, crisper beers. But this proved me wrong. The 7.2 ABV slows down the chugging, which allows the milk-sugar and aging to come through; adding a bit of a chew to this beer. Wow-very impressive! This complex lager gives simple pleasures. Foggier than most lagers, but still crisp and light as lagers tend to be. Nice!
- Pours slightly hazy.
- Thin creamy head fizzles out quickly at the center of the glass, leaving a thinner ring of foam.
- Some sediment at the bottom of the glass (nice!) adds chewiness.
- The milk sugar and mallow compliment the natural sweetness of lager beers without overkill. The vanilla and aging balances everything out and does not make this a dessert beer. But does make this a craft brew, and not your typical experience.
- Not as carbonated as most lagers. No need to let the beer air out in the glass. Can drink immediately after a pour.
- Faint lager scent.
Overall this beer impressed me as someone who prefers stouts.

-pale golden can pour with a slight haze and a thin foam cap.
The aroma is of sweet malt and marshmallow, a bit medicinal.
The flavor is rich with malt and some marshmallow toast.
I understand the motivation for brewing this, (and drinking this) in a cold climate. -the feelings of warmth and comfort need multiple sources.

Golden colored lager, with a white frothy foam. The smell of vanilla is very much present. Flavor is creamy; somewhat like there is lactose sugar in there but does give the sense of marshmallows in the beer. I'd equate it to hot chocolate once marshmallows melt. The finish does give a slight musty nod to lager yeast.
A fun lager, and I do think the vanilla addition doesn't put it too far out the norm to be a niche beer.

Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Marshmallow is omnipresent in the nose but light, oak backed vanilla actually makes a stronger impression, bright grains linger in the background. Taste is much the same but marshmallow has now bonded with the oak more as the starring couple, vanilla, sugar, buttery malts and cereal grains round out to balance. Feel is very smooth before the crisp finish, generally bright but has a sense of anchored gravity from the oak. Fun lager. The wife liked it

Interesting lager ... More full and more full bodied than most ... Certainly getting the "marshmallow" under current ... Smooth to drink and the relatively high ABV is well disguised

An Extreme Beer Fest beer - never had an Extreme lager before!
A beautiful beer! Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Thick, creamy white head atop a slightly hazy yellow body, excellent curtain lacing. Traditional sweet grassy smell of a lager with an overlay of vanilla and a bit of marshmallow. A bit of a fruity finish that balanced the marshmallow. Overall a pleasant beer.

Pours a hazy bright yellow color. Not much a head, just a thin layer of white foam. Aroma has notes of pilsner malt, toasted marshmallow, corn, cream, with light sweet notes. The presence of the sweetness and marshmallow creaminess is reminiscent of a cream ale in some ways ... Taste has notes of pilsner malts, some light oakiness, the toasted marshmallow and vanilla notes come through. I have to say, the oakiness really does provide something this beer needs otherwise it would be far too sweet. Feel is medium to moderately bodied. You can tell this is an imperial for sure. Bright carbonation keeps it crisp.
Its an extreme beer to be sure. For me, I just do not see how the addition of marshmallow, vanilla beans, and lactose made this beer better ... I guess its just not for me.

A slightly cloudy lager in appearance. fluffy 2 finger cap drops off to a nice film with a slight, but constant stream of bubbles to replenish the head.
Nose carries a mild sweetness that has a smooth vanilla overtone.
Flavor is vanilla forward, but smooth and mellow. Some crackery malt peaks in underneath. The traditional noble hops lager notes are absent or concealed by the sweetness. Later a slight crisp finish gets back in the lager tradition. Not super sweet, but still on the sweet side.
Mouthfeel is crisp, great carbonation.
