from a 12oz can (2 1/2 months old) into a pint glass
Look: pours deep amber with a thick 3/4" of off-white head with average retention. the beer is close to 100% clear. little to no lacing observed.
Smell: nutty, toasted bread and subtle caramel. grassy, earthy hop aromas. and doughy yeast. a hint of booze.
Taste: a malt forward beer with mild sweetness, caramelly flavors and perfectly balanced medium bitterness.
Feel: medium body, almost rich texture, moderate carbonation and subdued astringency. Finishes short and dry with a light lingering bitterness.
Overall: I have drank a lot of this beer. altogether, I have had better experience with it on draught. overall, I find it very good to outstanding. The Tank continue to put out consistently good beers compared to what is coming out of other local breweries. Kudos to them for concentrating of quality and consistency versus quantity and experimentation for experimentation's sake.

Appearance: amber in color with a 1" head that slowly falls.

Smell: very light bread aroma here.

Taste: malty profile with bread, ripe fruits, and a mild bitterness.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp from start to finish.

Overall: a decent amber ale that is satisfying.

On tap in Alexandria. The bar has this one listed as an American Amber.

It pours a tawny color, clear and filtered.

The aroma is of biscuits and toffee: very malt-heavy, and fairly old school. The flavor is bready throughout, offset by just enough hop bitterness, with a finish that's spicy and lightly tangy.

This reminds me strongly of Millstream's fantastic Shild Brau--only here the yeast profile isn't quite up to snuff. Still a good, quaffable beer.

Look: Deep, clear amber with a finger of tan head.

Smell: Citrusy and piney hops, sweet fruit, and mild malt.

Taste: Bready, sweet malt with a bitter hop backbone.

Mouthfeel: Rather thin with minimal carbonation.

Overall: A fine amber with just enough hops to keep things interesting.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a clear amber with white head that left some lace. The scent had faint malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with malt base and even hop to finish clean. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

A malt-forward ale with flavors of toffee, caramel, and toast. Hops and yeast give this beer a very fruity aroma. Mild to no real bitterness and a dry finish. Medium-bodied ale that's very drinkable.

I really like this beer. Flavorful with a Bit of a burnt aftertaste, a little too carbonated for me, but very good overall.
