If you're looking for an explanation as to why so many people enjoy craft beer, then you should visit this small brewery, located in a former fire house in delightful small community in Orange County, New York. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and the beer is quite good. The facility isn't large but they have a back deck with its own set off taps so you can get your pours there without going back inside. It's simply a pleasing environment and a great place to enjoy some really good beer. I can't wait to bring friends to enjoy fine beers in a pleasant, friendly environment.

This converted firehouse in the black dirt country of Pine Island New York has a quaint country relaxing ambience. The brewery produces small batches of some excellent ales not all centered on IPA's like so many others but with a variety of styles. The quality of their beers is high even with a smaller selection and service is efficient and friendly. You don't buy beers there but tokens and its mostly a token for a beer which can be as low as $4 if you buy enough tokens. They serve flights of four for two tokens. The have a dart board inside and a nice beer garden with games outside for when the weather permits.

Lively local crowd in this converted firehouse in rural NY near the NJ/PA borders. Long straight bar seats about 20 with some table about the room and some outdoor seating. Beers were OK, but not memorable.

If you don't like IPA's (and I really really don't), they don't have much of a selection, but the Scottish ale and the Big Brown were excellent. The service is hit or miss. It gets very crowded here, and on a couple occasions we had great service, but on others, we waited over 20 minutes for someone to serve us, while people who had arrived long after us got served immediately.

My biggest complaint is the music. The bands were good, but they were waaaaaaayyy too loud. The space has horrible acoustics for loud music, and there is really no need for such a loud system in so small a room. You can barely hear yourself think, never mind try to carry on a conversation with the person next to you. If they toned it down, I think it would be much more enjoyable to hang out there.
