While I enjoy a lot of types of beer, the American Pale Ale has long been my favorite. Manny’s is a perfect example of it and has become my “go to” beer since it is on tap at many establishments throughout the Puget Sound area where I live. It’s funny to read reviews by guys who are clearly IPA nuts. To each their own but I enjoy a nice hoppy bite without feeling like I’m drinking from a bottle of Pine Sol.

It's simply a very well done and flavorful beer. If I could only drink one beer, this would be that beer.

Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$6
Pours a nice orange golden color. Small yet persistent white head.
Nice hop forward aroma. Citrus and floral.
Well balanced taste yet still hoppy.
Great drinkable mouth feel.
A very good drinking APA.

draught
Thick, slightly undulating, off-white head. Slightly translucent, medium orange color. A bit of malt, along with subtle tangerine peel & allspice aroma. Balanced malt to hop ratio, with a smooth caramelized malt flavor and a smooth finish, with a bit of aromatic spice. Medium full mouth feel.

A very interesting pale ale that has the malty breadiness reminiscent of the doughy mixture you get in your mouth after eating a bunch of pretzels. Very smooth and could definitely have a few of these easily. Definitely a heavy body for a pale ale. Not bitter at all and literally reminds me of eating a piece of bread in a good way.

Supposed to be their flagship beer. Canned 6/30 - today is 7 /12. Slightly hazy golden amber pour, beer-y aroma. First sip is a dry taste, light bitterness. Sip slowly, let it warm to taproom temps, as we hear this beer is rarely canned / bottled but distributed in kegs around the region. Overall, a solid offering in an APA; there are better but not many locally and with this one's cachet.

Deep orange haze with two knuckle frothy cream-white head.

Grapefruit and bitter hop. Good ol fashioned WC pale ale

Smooth and somewhat creamy. Balanced bitterness and slight sweetness.

Glad to get to try this NW staple. Very solid. Reminds me of Blvd pale ale, straight-up no frills, if you like it you like it. Would gladly have many manny’s

Limited release 12oz can poured in to a nonic glass. Can is dated 05/23/2020.

L- Fairly hazy darker amber color, modest off-white head that quickly recedes to a ring of foam, minimal lacing. Light carbonation streams as it sits.

S- Tropical fruit (mango?), citrus (orange and lemon), caramel malts, maybe a touch of melon, light pine and floral/herbal hop notes.

T- Follows the nose, tangy citrus and tropical notes, sweet malt, almost no pine or hop bitterness.

F- Medium bodied, fairly sweet but a bit dry in the finish. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.

O- I haven't had this in years so I was excited to see they canned it. Nothing fancy just a solid APA. Worth trying.
