Appearance – This was a nice orange-colored ale. I had this on-tap and the glass was filled to the top, so I can’t comment on the head.

Smell – The nice floral hops were complimented by a subtle orange aroma and a significant malt balance.

Taste – The hops were big in here for a pale ale. The orange sweetness came out on the tongue as well, which made for a refreshing combination. There was a nice balance of malt in here, too. Well done.

Mouthfeel – Lightly carbonated and somewhat dry. This was medium-bodied.

Drinkability – I had this with a sandwich and chips, so the thirst-quenching nature of this ale came in handy. I will definitely have it again.

This ale has outstanding color. It is a glowing amber. I'm more interested in how a beer tastes but still the color is amazing. There is a perfect balance of biscuity malt and hops. The hop character is such that I would have guessed it was dry hopped but I don't think it is. Thick head of foam for a pale ale. I have had this numerous times on tap and from a growler fill. It is always delicious. Much like Mac & Jack Amber, this is a ubiquitous choice in the Seattle area for restaurants with a limited beer selection, and a godsend because it is about the finest pale ale you will find anywhere. This is hands down the best pale ale I have tried and a tremendous value at 8 bucks for a growler.

Enjoying this beer on-tap at an Irish pub in Seattleas my wife and I arrived here on vacation earlier today. Served in a clear plastic pint glass, this beer draws a fairly clear, slightly cloudy/hazy color with a nice white head that's about 2/3 to 3/4 of an inch thick when first served to me. Head eventually settled to a fairly thick ring lining the inside of my glass along with a bit of lacing. Aromas of toasted, caramel malt sweetness along with some earthy, piney hops. The taste is pretty much the same, with moderately toasted, breadth caramel malt sweetness that gives way to the aforementioned earthy, piney and slightly citrusy hops that give this a nice bitterness on the back end to balance the flavor profile out all around. Has a somewhat crisp, slightly prickly, somewhat smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink inbthebrightvway a beer of this style ought to be. Glad I got a chance to try this one on St. Patty's Day!

A- Wonderful glowing deep copper color. Slightly hazy from the unfilteredness.

S- Best smelling beer I have ever put my nose up to. Very hoppy, tones of marijuana, hint of citrus.

T- Delicious beer. Perfect amount of hops, has a good NW Pale Ale bite to it as well. Flavor can vary slightly from keg to keg; that's the only reason I did not give it a 5 on taste.

M- Has a good amount of carbonation and is slightly thicker than a lager beer.

o- My go to beer at the bars in the NW. Best Pale Ale I have ever tasted.

Appearance - poured from growler with a thick two fingers of fluffy off-white head, is a deep cloudy gold color, head subsides to a persistent half-finger and leaves lacing on the side of the glass

Smell - smell of hops comes through, slight malt sweetness, grapefruit and citrus aromas from the hops, bready

Taste - sharp hop bitterness upfront is well balanced by biscuity malt tones on the back end, hops are slightly more assertive than a normal pale ale

Mouthfeel - very smooth, strikes a good balance between watery and full-bodied, it's right where a pale ale should be

Drinkability - incredibly drinkable, is a great anytime beer

Manny's Pale Ale from Georgetown Brewing is a great beer from a great local brewery. Their slogan is "darn tasty beer" and Manny's fulfills. A benchmark of the style and that's the reason why it's so ubiquitous in the Seattle area. It's hard to go wrong with this, or any of Georgetown's other beers.
