This IPA gets its light silky texture from rolled oats. The flavor and aroma both express mandarin and citrus all around. Over five pounds of hops per barrel makes this IPA truly Bodhilicious. Gold medal winner in the American Style IPA category at the Great American Beer Festival in 2016!

(shaker pint pour at Moxy Downtown in Seattle... review copied and expanded upon from notes taken)
I was told this is on tap most everywhere in town... spiced mango shocked with peach-drizzled radicchio... hazy, bland in appearance; little head or lace... light and barely lush texture... the woody, rooty bite won't abate... oversteeped tannins; not my cup of tea... eye-catching tap handle... was hoping for more of a NW IPA, but it's more modern, fruity; no interest in having again (2256)

Citrus nose. Bitter lemon peel, and orange. I like!

Crisp, clean and smoothly bitter, its easy to see why Georgetown's IPA has seen some lofty goals. Its clever use of rolled oats gives the otherwise bone-dry ale an easier path down the gullet.
Pouring medium gold and with a tepid haze, Bodhizfa floats a frothy white cap before a host of citrusy, herbal, sprucy and tropical scents round into an appetizing perfume. As its first sip hits the tongue, impressions of honey, faint caramel and a sense of graham cracker give an early malt sweetness as a buffer from the hops.
But as the ale washes the middle palate, the hops spring to life with the classic all-American tandem of grapefruit and orange peel. But complementary hop flavors of pineapple and mango give the ale a more tropical sense of succulence. As the ale trends bitter, the malts and oats remain supportive without getting in the way of a piney, peppery and herbal late palate.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the nearly West Coast IPA shows a crisp and clean taste similar to Stone IPA but a fruitier and smoother taste of Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Its a very pleasant session that concluded way too soon.

From City Brew Tours, canned September 8th 2023.
It pours a hazy orange with a finger of foam, some lacing.
The smell is pine and grapefruit hops, almost pungent. Malt is subdued, perhaps toasted malt.
The taste is strong pine and grapefruit, pretty darn bitter and dry. Again, the malt appears to me to be toasted. The bitterness wears on me after drinking half of the glass.
Good mouthfeel, a pretty good IPA.

Pours a lovely opaque egg-yolk yellow with plentiful bubbles and a quick thinning white head. Great flavor balance of wheat and citrus. Only complaint is the lingering oily feel, but overall a good representative of the Northwest style. One of my go-tos.

Got a sixer of 12 oz cans from the grocery store, canned about 6 weeks ago. Into a shaker as the mid-August sun sets over puget sound and the Olympics in the distance. Pours a moderately hazy tangerine, 1 inch of sudsy eggshell head, with good retention. Nose promises earthy and citrus hops, balanced by some rich bready malt. Taste brings a little pine also, but other than that, pretty straightforward and just what I’d want the doctor to order. I’m a big fan of Columbus and chinook, together, and I think this beer does a great job with the combo, and the Vienna malt is a great complement. Nice moderate bitterness even though it drinks smooth, body is middling to full, and a little sticky and oily on the end.

Pours a cloudy pale straw honey with a finger of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with some lacing. Aroma of orange and citrus. Taste follows nose. Very enjoyable.

Tasted on tap at Double Tap Pub in Boise, Idaho. This was a decent hazy, NW-style IPA. It emphasized hops, with a blend of earthy, citrus, and piney flavors and aromas.

Mildly hazy, light orange colored body; lively carbonation; initial thick, frothy, white head, very bubbly, settles to a relatively thin layer of foam. Very nice citrus aroma with a light biscuit-like under-layer. The flavor builds on the aroma; lighter citrus notes, subtle orange notes; more grainy malt flavor; moderate to bold bitterness. Medium-heavy body; fairly prickly on the palate; slightly sticky.
Rolled oats were used in this beer's creation. Overall, a decent IPA although nothing special.

Poured a hazy orange with some amber color. Not to much of a head with little lacing. Aroma is piney and citrusy with some dankness. Taste is also piney and citrusy with the same dankness. Mouthfeel is good, kind of crisp. Overall, a very good beer.

Pours a bright hazy orange with some amber hues, a decent white foamy head rises and fall quickly to a substantial cap. Nose is dank and bitter pine sap and citrus with some tropical notes there as well, making this a full and complex hop bill for me. Taste follows suit, finishing sweet with a lack of that bitterness I detected on the nose; however it is still present. Feel is crisp but nearly oily and mouthcoating in some regard. Overall, very good and I would nearly compare it to a slightly easier drinking 2H.
