Notes: Medwards says "If you force fed a watermelon a steady diet of mandarin oranges and pineapples and then dropped said watermelon into a wood chipper, the resulting aromas and flavors that came out the business end of the wood chipper would be the best was to describe the new DIPA. As much as i dislike the term 'juicy' this DIPA is very much juicy and has very little bitterness for the style." - Strait from the brewer's mouth.

Moderately thin white head. Translucent, light orange with a yellowish tint, for the look. Slightly malted, tangerine peel aroma, with a little touch of sweet spice. Fairly firm tangerine peel flavor and bite with a little bit of malt, in support. Fairly light bodied for ever an IPA, let alone a double IPA.

Pours a hazy golden color with an inch or so of short lived white head. Aroma is wonderful, and bursts from the glass. Pineapple, citrus and all sorts of other aromas that work very well together. Lots of grapefruit on the tongue. Nice soft, full feel. Good beer.

This is a current favorite local brew, extra points for availability and the easy to find freshness dates on the box. There are a ton of local breweries who put the most obscure dates on their packages, not Georgetown. Consistently available, fresh and delicious. This IPA is all about bold, sticky tropical flavors with a sweet, almost metallic backbone. Somehow, crushable

L: A good golden haze and a solid head make this a pretty beer
S: Huge fruit on the nose
T: Juicy as can be, but the slight hop bitterness stops it short of being a smoothie
F: Not too heavy but that 8.1% ABV definitely shows
O: A really yummy brew. Good example of what a juicy IPA should be

The aroma, largely Simcoe, Citra and El Dorado, nearly fills your kitchen just from popping the top. Juicy, delicious and dangerously easy to drink. I'm guessing Meowsa is what people say when they first take a sip.

Very cloudy brownish yellow brew with modest foam in the Orval chalice. Nowhere does it say this is a hazy brew, but the apprearance, slippery mouthfeel, and insistent acidity make it a New England style for me. Brewed with Flaked Oats. Hops are listed as Citra, Simcoe, and El Dorado.

Odd, funky smell, like fermenting pineapple with vegetable broth. Extremely sharp with grapefruit peel. This woud be a very fragrant household cleaner. I'm going to try it on the bathtub soap scum. Harsh aftertaste peeling a little off the roof of the mouth. So much for drinkability and I bought the six pack of 12 oz cans because I like the damned cat and the name.

This beer pours a very murky, dank, hazy darker straw color. There's a 2 finger slightly off white head to this beer, however it's not long lasting at all. It dissipated quickly, and there's no lacing on the glass.
The nose is a nice juicy hop mix. I get Mango, pineapple and a touch of grapefruit here.
Taste - Up front I get the grapefruit and pineapple. This goes to the back where the mango comes in to play. There's also a slight bitter flavor that rounds it all out.
The body is pretty thick, and full. It has some juicy elements to it, and the hops do linger in my throat.
Solid and delicious.

On tap at Elk Public House. A very hazy appearance with a dry chalky feel. Not one of the better Georgetown brews. It doesn't look great in the glass and doesn't drink well either.

A: Hazy golden orange with a quickly fading white head
A: All manner of fresh tropical fruit + orange, with a whiff of sweet malt
T: All the tropics are in here - guava, passion fruit, pineapple, melon, orange, balanced perfectly with a crisp hoppy bitterness, touch of fruity sweetness and malt
M: Moderate carb, medium+ body, super-smooth texture, long tapering juicy finish with a pleasantly bitter finale
O: This is really good - great flavors, nice balance, hard to put this one down long enough to make some notes. In fact it was gone in like 4 minutes, and of course, that’s both a good thing and bad. Love it.

12oz can of a new (to me) find from Gerogetown. Beer pours super hazy yellow golden and promises fruity, juicy NE IPA goodness. Aroma is potent and full of pineapple and citrus juice. Flavor has a bit more bite to it, but is still mellow. Mouthfeel is the only harsh part of it, with intense carbonation. Finishes a tiny bit sweet.

A really good fruity IPA with an outstanding can design and spokescat.

12oz can purchased at Huckleberry's in Spokane, Washington, for $2.29. According to the stamp on the bottom of the can, this was canned on October 20, 2020. Kinda shocked I've not reviewed this til now.

Poured into an IPA glass, this was a truly hazy (as opposed to opaque) and orangey shade of amber, with a good sized off-white head. Spotty lace.

Guava, melon and pineapple scents. Some sweetness, but not sugary sweet.

Fruity and melon-y up front, with a bit of citrusy bitterness about midway through, then smooth mango and melon on the fadeout. Unlike the last juicy hazy DIPA I had, the abv is well-hidden.

Medium bodied, with a soft, creamy yet resiny mouthfeel.

Really nice beer. Hides it's 8.1% abv very well. I didn't really get on the bandwagon the first go-around, but now that I've taken one home I definitely dig it.

12 oz can dated 10/16/20 poured into a Teku.

Pours a 1" creamy white head that fades quickly. Pale golden color, hazy and opaque.

Tropical fruity hop aromas of guava, melon, Skittles and Starburst sweetness. A subtle bitter musk.

Sweet juicy flavors with a minimum of bitterness to finish. Emphasis on fruity hop flavors, similar to a hazy NE IPA with more booze.

Effervescent and medium-bodied mouthfeel. Smooth, sweet, and easy drinking for its high ABV.

Very tasty DIPA. Sweet rather than bitter, and heavy on the fruity hops. Hides its alcohol and bitterness well. Very approachable for non-IPA drinkers.

Delicious 12oz canned in early October, poured into a Sam Adams PP. Pours an attractive, hazy darker gold with a soapy off-white head; nose and palate are full of tropical fruit and piney resin, with notes of mango, melon, and apricot; the malt is there as well lending a bright sweetness to the hoppy character of this brew and a very smooth body. A delicious brew, well worth searching out for a solid double IPA.

12 oz can from Brewers Haven. Hazy pour, small foamy head. Fruity aroma, citrus, pineapple. Juicy taste, lots of pineapple and oranges. Light citric sting but pretty smooth for a DIPA.

A typical NWIPA - hazy and light head. Plenty of citrus - grapefruit and mango on the nose. Friut carries into the taste - it's pretty intense at first, then mellows out a bit. A little light on the malt, but good mouthfeel, no off notes or peculiar aftertaste. We like this one - although Buzz (our Avatar) says cats don't do ales.

A: The beer is quite hazy yellow in color. An aggressive pour resulted in a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving wisps of lacing on the surface, a narrow collar around the edge, and some streaks of bubbles running down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pineapples are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of pineapples along with notes of oranges. Little, if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The smell and taste of this beer don't seem to be as strong for what I would expect for an Imperial IPA. As such, it is easy to drink.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a moderately hazy, medium golden amber with a one finger white head with good retention and lacing. Bright aroma of citrus and tropical fruit hops, mildly caramel malt, orange, lemon, mango and pineapple. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, grapefruit, orange, green melon, pineapple and mango. Develops some resinous character into a fruity, but moderately bitter finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. Another hazy IPA that delivers enough hop bitterness to keep my interest and also seems to adhere to the West Coast hybrid style, with good tropical fruit flavor but nice citrusy hops too. I don't quite agree with the brewer's note that this has "very little bitterness for the style"; but am glad I found pleasant and adequately assertive bitterness. Not quite my style, but a quite enjoyable hop bill. These guys are really hitting solid on their IPAs. I like the cheerful cat on the can.

Can from The Beermongers.

A mildly hazy orange with a rapidly receding white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose is delicious. Soft, bright, creamy and juicy with some bitterness, there's mango, papaya, orange, more mango and some passionfruit. Mild oat like sweetness is present. The palate opens with an incredible amount of fruit, with a blend of fresh mango and cooked, canned mango pulp, moderately sweetened but decidedly tropical, along with bright , sweet citrus notes of clementines and satsuma mandarins. Notes of peach and guava are present, but aren't the main draw here. Mildly sweet and quite creamy on the palate, this is a delicious DIPA.
