A well-rounded, simple porter. Coffee, chocolate, cherry, wood, and smoke. Subdued mocha flavors and molasses-y malts. Hints of licorice and marshmallow. Light and mellow. 8/10

On-tap at Virginia Inn, Seattle, WA:

Pours very dark brown to black with a head that becomes wispy, leaving lacing.

The smell is of chocolate, coffee, some dark fruit, some anise.

The taste is of semi-sweet chocolate, roasted coffee, some dark fruit and a hint of anise. Roasty/smoky finish.

It hits medium-bodied. Pretty creamy.

Overall, a nice American porter.

On-tap at Henry's Tavern, on to the beer:

A medium-full bodied beer that is also a great pre-gaming beer in the cool Pacific Northwest, this porter brings a smoky character with a note of molasses, and semi-sweet chocolate.

On tap during a Seattle boat tour while vacationing in Seattle. Great mouthfeel, tasty chocolate and molasses. Very smooth and drinkable. Wish I could get this all the time
