Such a pleasant beer! Definitely in my top 3 of local IPAs. Just the right amount IBUs with a crisp finish. Love it on tap but pretty impressive in a can. You know it’s gonna be good when you get a glass and take a deep breathe over it. I’ve yet to have a friend not like it when I make them try one!

Lucille. Ahh, Lucille. A bit dirty, just how I like 'em. Beautiful inside and out, but just edgy enough to be looked past by most.

She wears bright orange, and like her personality,is almost transparent. She loves wearing that white hat, but as the night goes on, it's the first thing to go. But you're carrying for her, and you can't avoid seeing it the whole time you're together.

She wears a simply wonderful perfume. Intoxicating with just the right levels of citrus and pine. Like the glamorous cab driver she is.

And that first kiss. One you'll never forget. She tastes just as good as she smells. And looks even.

She's smooth, and light, with a bitter side that slaps you in the face if you don't treat her right. Her sweet side comes out from time to time as well, which keeps you coming back for more.

Lucille is one hell of a broad. But don't bother calling her. Shell call you, if you're worth it. Cheers.

Canned 2/21

It’s a slightly foggy copper-gold. Average sized off white head, with average retention.

Smells like floral hops and light grains with some grapefruit, orange, and lemon.

Tastes like it smells with a decent amount of bitterness. Nice amount of resin flavor and feel.

Very nice beer. Well balanced and tasty.

Mostly clear, thin white head, streak lacing. Light copper color. Aroma is light citrus and caramel malt. Tropical fruit notes, grapefruit and pine. Juicy and resinous, a mild hops bite. Well balanced and flavorful. A bit thick in the mouthfeel, and watery finish. A solid and tasty beer overall though.

this was definitely the best of the beers i had from georgetown brewing. its a nice light and balance ipa, super fresh tasting from the tap, a lot more refined than their bodhizafa and a lot less malty than their mannys pale ale. tons of fresh citrus notes the the hops here, relatively uninterrupted by any malt, lemon and grapefruit here, very sort of classically northwestern while at the same time never really getting all that bitter, and staying dangerously drinkable for its abv. a little bit of an oily feel to it, but pretty light, with fresh cut pine and grapefruit in the finish and just a light cereal complexion from the grain. its well carbonated and on the drier side, simple but very well made beer, which seems to be their thing. in the northwest, there are a lot of more extreme and new school styled ipa types to pick from, this is, after all, the motherland of hoppy beer as far as i am concerned, but something a bit classic thats high quality and very drinkable is always welcome, and thats exactly what we have here. less distinctive i think than others, but there is something to be said for being a classic...

Canned 2 weeks ago. Beautiful transparent golden amber with a creamy, very persistent, white head that leaves some nice lacing. Aroma is grapefruit peel. Taste is sweet malt with citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Medium body, nice carbonation.

Handsome clear amber brew with swirls of white suds in the wine glass. Quite spritzy in the mouth with a light body. Fruity and musty aroma. Malty, though, and the sweet kiss of each new sip is quite inviting. Hops take over and darkness descends.

Warm malt with some toast plus melon. This gets very woody and dark after a few sips. Aftertaste is quite bitter with some grapefruit peel. I think the serious IPA aficionado will go for this. From the 12 oz can purchased at Whidbey Beer Works in Oak Harbor.

12 Oz can. Canned date, July 7th

Pours a copper body with a white head. Good retention and thin lacing

Very prominent grapefruit on the nose

Taste follows with a nice grapefruit bitterness

Crisp even feel

This beer screams 'Seattle" to me...I have been a fan of Lucille for quite a few years and up until now it was only available on tap. To some extent this has made Lucille a little larger then life to me. This canned product is still pretty good ! I have a regular gig playing blues a few blocks from the brewery and the Lucille there is amazing cause it's so fresh. If I had reviewed it there it would have been 5's across the board. Do yourself a favor. If you are ever in a bar that has it on tap get it !

12oz can from a 6-pk purchased a a local grocery store for $8.99.. According to the stamp on the can, it was canned on"06/15/2017." Amazed I've never reviewed it before now, considering how many times I've had I on tap.

Poured into a Mad Bomber IPA glass, this was a shade of amber just shy of copper, with good clarity and a big, creamy beige head leaving lots of sticky lace.

Grapefruity and piney hop nose with a subordinate, bready malt scent well into the background.

Bitter and citrusy and slightly tropical fruity hop flavors lead the charge and pretty much dominate the flavor throughout, with the malts providing a good backbone but not intruding otherwise. Bitter and sappy at the swallow.

Medium bodied, with a thick, oily, resiny mouthfeel.

Tastes like a classic PNW IPA, which, I suppose, it is. Tasty but not spectacular. An excellent choice when wanting a well made, old school IPA. This could be a regular guest in my fridge, now that it's available in cans.
