12oz can from a 6-pk purchased a a local grocery store for $8.99.. According to the stamp on the can, it was canned on"06/15/2017." Amazed I've never reviewed it before now, considering how many times I've had I on tap.

Poured into a Mad Bomber IPA glass, this was a shade of amber just shy of copper, with good clarity and a big, creamy beige head leaving lots of sticky lace.

Grapefruity and piney hop nose with a subordinate, bready malt scent well into the background.

Bitter and citrusy and slightly tropical fruity hop flavors lead the charge and pretty much dominate the flavor throughout, with the malts providing a good backbone but not intruding otherwise. Bitter and sappy at the swallow.

Medium bodied, with a thick, oily, resiny mouthfeel.

Tastes like a classic PNW IPA, which, I suppose, it is. Tasty but not spectacular. An excellent choice when wanting a well made, old school IPA. This could be a regular guest in my fridge, now that it's available in cans.

On tap at Tap Room, Seattle.
Pale amber with film of white that speckles. 4
Orange hard candy. 3.75
Caramel base, jagged little herbal bite, then a whack of C hops and slight dank comeback. 4
Sugared grapefruit linger.
Almost medium, chewy, round. 4

Old school. A bit light - body and hops both - for the strength. Nothing wrong with this, it’s just 5 years behind the times. 3.75

I enjoyed this great well balanced IPA after a really nice bike ride up to Edmunds with my friend Karen, in Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle, at the Lodge pub.

From tap. Beautiful golden-amber color with a sudsy head. Tropical and tangerine flavor and aroma with a nice soft finish of grapefruit on the back of the tongue. One of my favorite IPAs of all time- a seriously underrated beer!
