If near upper east side/ bloomingdales /roosevelt island/ or 59th lex stop, this is a great snug oasis. Beer selection is great if you need to pack a quick can too.

Vibe: I stopped by this place on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't that crowded. It's a small combination beer bar/store that is located across the street from the Manhattan side of the Roosevelt Island Tram. They have a small rectangular bar with about a dozen seats.
Quality: Beers were served in glassware at the proper temperature.
Service: The bartender was very friendly and knew his stuff.
Selection: The place had a total of 15 beers available on tap, the selection of which included the following breweries: Arrowood, Bosteels, Flying Dog, Greenport Harbor, Kills Boro, Prairie, Maredsous, Mikkeller San Diego, Sierra Nevada, Stillwater, Threes, Thin Man,
Tired Hands, and Zero Gravity. These were mostly available either in 6 ounce or 12 ounce pours. They also had about five coolers and a couple of shelves with beer available for purchase to-go.

Solid beer bar with a great selection of cans as well as taps. Met some good folks when I was in, and was able to try some world class beer. Bartenders are nice, and clearly know their beer.

A pub and a bottle shop. Small and packed on a Friday night, the bartenders both pour beers and ring up to go sales with good cheer. Over twenty handles and a huge selection of craft beer from across the country and internationally. Good selection of Belgian lambics. Can get half price half pours. Would like to go back and spend an afternoon there.

Walked here from Midtown and was not let down! Small bar with maybe 16-20 stools most of which were full. Very friendly vibe and began discussing local beer with other patrons. Very welcoming atmosphere. The beer on tap was amazing - although there was HF, the bartender suggested Singlecut and another IPA from a brewery I wish I could remember. Both were delicious. The bartender chatted us up and another patron suggested eight cans I should bring back to Chicago (including: Singlecut, Fiddlehead, Lawsons, Finback, Greenpoint, Two Roads) which ran about $44. Expensive, sure - but, all things I cannot get in Chicago. Excellent selection for someone from out of town and would go out of my way to visit this spot again! Was made to feel like I'd been going there for years!

Tiny place on NYC's Far East side
Small bar, walls loaded with butiquey bottles and cans..also a few cooler units. Friendly and informative help. Prices high but ...you finish the sentence ... Beer is respected and appreciation is clearly in evidence...worth a stop but not worth an expedition...forget parking if you plan to drive
