This beer pours a translucent, golden yellow with good carbonation and a think, foamy head that lingers, depositing some spotty lacing. The smell is earthy and grassy with a toasted pilsner. A doughy characteristic is present along with a crisp hoppiness. Taste is bready and biscuity, which is crisp, yet carrying a hoppy bitterness on the backside.

On-tap @ Rattle N Hum West in New York, NY.

Deep gold in color and clear with a fluffy white head. Lots of tropical and citrus fruit in the aroma with very little malt noticeable. Sweet, rounded malt flavor with more tropical and citrus fruitiness. Medium bodied, packing a little more heft than most pilsners. Well carbonated with a light bitter finish.

This is an Americanized pils all the way, bearing little resemblance to its Czech brethren (and miles away from a German pils both literally and figuratively). Your typical grassy, herbal, or floral hops are eschewed in favor of fruitier hop varieties, but it's a refreshing and interesting take on the style, nonetheless.

Poured from 16oz can and drank from a 20oz Sauvin glass. Canned on 18002, which is Julian Dating.

Look: Yellow, goldenrod blond in color. Light and refreshing looking, which is hoped for in a pilsner. Obviously filtered. Even with a fairly aggressive pour, I only achieved about 1 and a half fingers worth of a white head.

Smell: Earthy and grassy smell, with a grainy smell. Some orange and grapefruit on the nose, but mostly that earthy, grainy smell.

Taste: Crisp, clean, light and subtly hoppy, despite being called a "hoppy" pilsner. The grain, pilsner flavor is abundant, backed up with a sweet fruit taste. Has a bread-like/doughy flavor to the beer as well. As far as taste goes, its clean and refreshing.

Feel: Light in weight, and light-medium in body. Carbonation is moderate, making it very easy drinking.

Overall: This is something I would love on a hot day. It light and very refreshing, as well as smooth and easy drinking. I think this is a great take on the style. Good job Mikkeller! I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!

Tap at Mikkeller bar

Nice foamy head retains well, some sticky lacing, crystal clear blond color

Nose big pilsner, toasted straw grain, doughy, hops add a bit grassy then fruity citrus mixed fruit juice, hint pineapple and grapefruit

Taste toasted pilsner, big grainy doughy straw malt, nice soft lager, very crisp, hops start grassy then kick up a big bitterness, spicy a bit, into mild citrus, touch of grapefruit, pineapple, pith, floral notes. Finishes dry crisp quite bitter pithy

Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent carb, soft crisp lager

Overall mixed, the pilsner starts nice, but his bring mostly bitterness, not as much of the awesome flavor I expected from galaxy, simcoe, and Amarillo.

On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller, Bangkok.

Translucent gold straw in color, it tops with thick frothy white head that stays with good retention before gradually sinking to a long-lasting bubble sheet on the surface and leaving numerous amount of sticky lacing all around.

The aroma is based on a good malt bill of bread, biscuit, and sweet dough together with crisp hop character of floral, spiciness, and some zesty citrus.

The taste has a rich maltiness as the backbone with its bread, biscuit, and sweetness while hop provides its crisp citrus, fruity, floral, spicy, herbal, and moderate bitter kick.

Light to medium body with quite smooth mouthfeel and good crispness yet lively carbonation, the feeling is refreshing with a dry finish.

Good hoppy Pils that is quite balance considering the proportion of malt and hop, malt is in the lead while hop is in the supporting with its crisp fruity and zest. Good Pilsener.

Pours into a pilsner a clear lighter golden with a sticky bone white head that is gone pretty quickly leaving shotty lace behind as it settles.Quite a citric and melon-like shot of hops in the nose,a little crisp bread dough is detected as well.Starts out citrusy and bright with a tinge of that melon then finishes with a caramel dough-like sweetness that you don't find often in a pilsner.I like the beer but it's a different take for sure on the style, not as dry and crisp as most,in saying that it's pretty damn good.
