what a fabulous berliner, mikkeller has been really doing these up right lately! this one is super clear and light, barely even yellow in color, no color from the fruit at all, with a tall and lasting white head on it, ice cold and super bubbly looking, i am so excited to dig into this! why is other dragon fruit beer pink? a question for another time... this has a really tart aroma, the tropical fruit lending some pucker to the already tangy base, lactic but super clean, more sour than most, really brings out the passion fruit for me. heaps of minerals too, like almost briney, really interesting component. the beer is so light on the grain side, but it never feels watery even though the flavor there is minimal. the flavor of the sourness is the best, bright lemon and earthiness, so interesting yet clean compared to others, this should be the model imitate for those not doing it well yet! the fruit isnt too much, its never sweet, and its very summery and tropical. they served it from the tap in a big bubble hefeweizen glass, and as light ans bubbly and refreshing as this is, its a little too sour to want all of that beer, it can be a little harsher when it warms up, and i think i would have preferred a smaller serving, but what wonderful beer this is. dying to try some of the other flavor combinations they have done with it. a perfect base beer enhanced just enough by the fruit. beautiful brew!

On tap at Coffee District. Hazy orange with no head. Smells of guava, passion fruit, and graininess. Tastes of sweet guava, but tart passion fruit overwhelms it quickly. Very grainy and dry. Yeasty finish. Medium light. Good fruit flavor and a pretty good berliner.

A: Intensely aromatic, with bright dragon fruit, passion fruit and guava aromas coupled with a moderate sourness.
A: Bright golden color, slight haze, with a frothy white head that has adequate retention with light lacing in the glass.
T: Passion fruit, dragon fruit flavors, followed by a light pink guava, with a moderate zippy sourness that lasts through the finish.
M: Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Delicious; the beer has a great tropical fruit aroma and flavor that really complements the beer's zippy sourness.

Slightly hazy bright yellow color with almost no head. Aroma is straight salad juice. Cucumber and aromatic herbs like dill, a bit of salt, really different. Taste starts with briney cucumber juice, continues slightly tart and vegetal, finish has a bit of chili heat after a few sips. Light body, medium carbonation. A really weird but interesting berliner, I enjoyed it.
