Solid black, light carbonation with an above average body. Creamy thick feel
Aroma is fresh brewed low bitterness espresso, roasted malt, oak, black coffee and sugar
Taste is espresso forward, has an earth wood taste, mild bitterness. There's black coffee and some sugar which gives it a bit of sweetness

Canned 2 months ago.

Pours near-black with a dark brown head.

The nose is deep and intense, with fudge, licorice, roast, and wood, and the taste follows. A nearly full mouthfeel delivers thick mocha and roast. Minor to medium alcohol heat on the backend.

Overall, tasty stuff. A hefty sipper.

Pours out motor oil black with a creamy brown head. Decent retention. A thin ring lingers. Spotty lacing is left behind.
Smells like fresh ground espresso, bittersweet chocolate, smokiness, nuttiness, earth, umami. Super rich and fudgy!
Tastes like dark and milk chocolate, peanut butter, hazelnut, caramel, chocolate syrup; then dark roast coffee/espresso, burnt toast, prune, raisin, and earth. Quite sweet and syrupy throughout, but coffee roast and roasted malt leads up to moderately bitter finish. A lingering smokiness pervades the palate.
Thick and creamy mouthfeel, moderately carbonated, somewhat oily.
A ridiculously good imperial coffee stout. Highly recommended.

L - Poured motor oil black with slight tan edges and a thin bubbly head.

S - Roasted coffee, fresh pulled espresso with a slight sweetness, possibly cacao. Slightly metallic with an aroma of wine or ripe fruit.

T - Single origin espresso, dark and strong with an underlying sweetness I can't quite put my finger on, maybe sweet cream or chocolate?

F - Awesome mouthfeel, thick, vicious and cloying, all in the best possible way.

An absolute home run. Grab this if you can, you won't regret it.

Pours a deep thick black with a decent dark brown head. Nose is loaded with coffe some caramel and toasted charred earthiness. Taste is loaded with dark roast coffee and then more coffee! Roasted grains, light caramel, nuts and burnt toast. Super thick, shake like. Very smooth and slick feel. It’s a hardy meal in and of itself.

This is a stout consistent with it's maker. Pours a ridiculously rich black - slight carmel head on the pour. So thick, light does not penetrate it. Aroma of coffee, earth, roasted nuts. Flavor is amazing - full, chocolaty, coffee, a bit boozy - a liquid dark chocolate bar!! Feel is consistent with the standard of Mikkeller - full, weighty - a meal of a stout!!!

From a twelve ounce can, this is an obsidian hued brew, capped with a dark cream colored head...thick. The aroma is heavy...intense with malt, brown sugar, booze, chocolate, ripe fruit, and a background musty hop scent. The taste has sweetness in the foretaste, warmth from the start, lots of chocolate and coffee flavors, and intense bitterness. Full in body and very satisfying.

Upon cracking the can, a solid orb of tan cream expands out without breaking. The pour is slick black with clear brown and red ribbons swirled throughout. The head erupts to a full fist of solid milk chocolate cream foam, then settles to a thin bubbly blanket with a thick collar.

Smell is roasty and nutty chocolate malt, banana skin-like vanilla, plus some metallic-salty-woody-molasses-like pine resin hops in the background.

Taste is tangy, salted caramel, bitter coffee, heavily roasted malt, and baker's cocoa. Then, chocolate syrup and heavier mocha enters as it warms, but still with those sharp, tangy and woody hop notes. At times I get hints of raspberry.

Mmmm. The feel is nice, smooth, round and thick but not heavy. But it then dries up and thins out on the swallow to a chewy finish.

Dark black brew; small head from a careful pour; little retention to speak of.

Coffee and roasted barley nose; no char or ash. Very slight wine-like quality (sour grapes). Toffee and chocolate.

Wonderful big malt body, with all edges rounded out by creamy coffee and brown sugar. The malt brings a moderately bitter roasty quality, along with a chocolate flavor. Fairly sweet stout, with brown sugar, overripe plums and dates, and syrup.

Very little heat for such a big beer. Smooth, creamy, slightly chewy.

Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Chocolaty booze aroma but the alcohol goes down fairly unnoticed. Tastes of milk chocolate, cofffee, and roasted dark malts. This is a really creamy and smooth brew. I will definitely be buying this again.

L) Nearly perfect appearance. Very thick and roasty head with insane retention. Great lacing with little toasty rings that hug the snifter until the final sip. The beer itself is dark black with a slick and silky appearance.

S) The smell is lovely but surprisingly weak compared to the taste. There are notes of toffee, espresso, and rich malted milk ball.

T) The beer tastes fantastic, with everything mentioned in the nose, but far stronger than one would expect. The finish is an intense bitter roastiness that refuses to leave the tongue.

F) It drinks like velvet. Rich and creamy in both flavor and texture. Low carbonation.

O) This beer truly is a standalone brunch. A must try and rebuy.

Really dark brown color with dark brown head. Aroma has milk chocolate, caramel with some sweetened coffee on top. Taste is sweet and milky at first with chocolate, roasted malt and lactose. Finish is more roasty with a medium cacao and coffee bitterness. Full bodied, soft carbonation. Overall it's a quite nice coffee stout with a good drinkability for its ABV.

From a 22 oz bottle purchased at the Mikkeller & Friends bottle shop in Copenhagen. I've always been a fan of Beer Geek Brunch, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this version is even better than the one brewed at Lervig. The coffee aroma is absolutely incredible. An improvement on a classic.

On tap at Mikkeller SD: imperial stout with Heirloom weasel coffee (for those who don't know, this means the coffee beans were harvested from weasel feces after letting them eat the coffee fruit, a method that is believed by farmers to guarantee the best beans will be harvested).
Appearance is like old motor oil, black and thick with a dark khaki head. Aroma features hints of black currant, coffee, dark chocolate, bits of toffee, and fig. For a dark beer, this beer is really fruity thanks to the weasel coffee, and you get a huge coffee dose as well. This is a very full-bodied beer and a shockingly crushable one, as well. Usually my go-to when I'm going to Mikkeller.
