I got a fresh 4-pack of pint cans from Eataly nearby me brewed only 10 days ago. Poured into my nucleated Teku glass.

Look: This fully-hazed golden yellow brew is crowned with a sticky, fluffy, and billowing snow-white head of seafoam. The head lingers and jiggles throughout the entire beer helping to carry and emit the incredible aroma.

Smell: Satsuma orange, yellow mango, pineapple, pungent papaya, light sherbert, slight pine, and mild lime jump from the glass. Amazingly aromatic and also slightly floral with undertones of caramel, biscuit dough, graham cracker, and honeysuckle.

Taste: The taste fills the senses and follows the nose with Satsuma orange, yellow mango, pineapple, pungent papaya, light sherbert, slight pine, and hints of lime. Very aromatic and also slightly floral. The lingering bitterness has a grapefruit pith nature to it and does well to balance the caramel and honeysuckle malt profile.

Mouthfeel: This is where this beer's uniqueness and quality really shines! The fluffy lingering white head immediately envelopes your nose and upper lip like an impeccably soft cloud. As soon as the liquid-gold beer slides past the head and your lips it immediately caresses your palate carrying with it the complex and satisfying array of tropical fruit character. It is full-bodied and silky smooth thanks to the unfiltered qualities.

Overall: THIS is a how you do a hazy IPA!!! The incredibly smooth body, ample bitterness, and gratuitous tropical character all combined to an absolutely world-class and perfectly executed Hazy IPA!! I can't wait to try other superb offerings from this brewery, especially seeing as they wield the power of these Danish yeast strains.

The most surprising aspect of this beer is how simultaneously creamy and easy to drink it is. It feels like it should exhaust your mouth, but you just want three more.

Poured from a 16oz stamped “BORN ON 02/10/21 BRANDONNNY” to a Nonic at fridge temp.
Opaque apricot body with a white head. Lacing is medium.
Aroma is hoppy, musty, dank, mildly citrusy.
Taste has a little bit of hop burn and the alcohol is pretty prominent for a 7% beer.
Overall, meh, probably better fresh.

Presentation: 16 oz. can with the canning date on the bottom. Served in a flared pint glass.

Appearance: The one finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a thin foam layer and a lot of lacing that covers the entire glass. It's a murky, bright straw color.

Smell: It's a fruity aroma of waxy citrus peel, peaches and papaya.

Taste: There's fruity flavors of tangerines, peaches and papaya. It's juicy and quite sweet with no bitterness at all.

Mouthfeel: It's medium bodied, smooth, creamy and pillowy with medium low carbonation.

Overall: It's a juicy, pillowy beer that's mostly just fruit on the nose and palate.

Poured from the 1 pint can into a stemless wine glass at Milo Olive restaurant in Santa Monica.

A: The beer is a very cloudy dark orange color with 2 fingers of white foamy head with some lacing.

S: Tropical yet balanced by a nice bread and biscuit malt character.

T: More balanced than anything. Bready malt holds everything together while various hoppy notes come in and out. Citrus is the dominant note. Finishes with bitter melon and earthy notes that last.

Overall: This was a nice IPA - balanced with some character, but not particularly memorable. Went well with some spicy pasta.

Pint can served up in a wine glass. The Windy Hill pours a hazed lemon orange in color with a full cap of foam. Richly hazed but not murky, cap is just off white and lingers well.

Aroma is fruity with orange creamsicle notes, bit garlicky at times. Taste follows with some muddled citrus and a decent carbonation. Touch of bitterness on the finish is welcome vs. the total lack thereof for many of the style. Overall a good west coast take on an east coast brew.

Windy Hill pours a brighter copper color, with a little bit of haze, a little bit of sediment, and a small, but long lasting and lacing head. Earthy aroma. Flavor is earthy, bitter, dark and dank hop flavors, with a very small amount of mango. Good body and feel. Overall, a darker earthier, more bitter NEIPA.

Great look actually of super hazy orange juice milkshake style with a decent offwhite head. Tropical fruit and citrus with some sweetness in there on the nose. Oh I really dig this actually. Wonderful creamy mouthfeel adds to the almost delicate yet malty finishing Melon/citrus tropical delight. Nice gentle bitterness. Good job for a take on a NE IPA.

$ 7.49 (Including shipping)/16 oz can ($ 0.468/oz). Received 5/30/20 from Craftshack, San Diego, CA. Reviewed 6/3/20.
Stamped on bottom rim of can “BORN ON 04/24/2020”. Stored at home upside down at 42 degrees and served at 45 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
Appearance – 3.25.
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), hazy.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), murky and opaque. When held to direct light, same.
Head – Large (Maximum 4.5 cm, aggressive center pour), white, high density, average retention, diminishing to a seven mm crown and a complete cap of varying thickness with a few medium rocks. Torn curtain lacing remains as the head retracts.
Lacing – Good. Wide bands of tiny bubbles. See also above.
Aroma – 3.25 – Weak citrus and melon, no yeast, no malt.
Flavor – 3.25 – Weak pineapple without the bite, weakly tropical, no malt, no yeast. No alcohol (7% ABV, as marked on the label) taste or aroma. Ends with little taste whatsoever. No diacetyl or dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, slightly creamy, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation – 3.25. When the palate is the best feature of a beer … OK but certainly not an outstanding example of an NEIPA. Weakness of taste and aroma make this a mediocre brew. Label is typical Mikkeller with little useful information. One and done.

Had on tap. Mostly hazy golden body with a fluffy white head and lacing. Plenty of tropical fruit and lemon zest in the nose, mellow and soft hops. Taste is much the same, more citrus up front and pith within the dryness of the finish. Well balanced, hazy but not juicy, pillowy soft and clean for style. A good median standard for the style

L: Very hazy orange color, two finger white head, messy lacing, no visible carbonation. Doesn't look like a NEIPA.

S: Tropical fruits, citrus notes, hops.

T: Hoppy, extremely balanced. Not a NEIPA.

F: Medium bodied, some hop flavors.

O: Nice IPA but lacking the flavor of a DIPA. Also, definitely not a NEIPA.

Don't look at me like that. I'm serious. This NE IPA is literally perfect.

L: The can art is hilarious. One guy lost his boiler hat, and the other looks like his mullet is being blown back, although it seems firmly attached to his head. Seems like the statement is that this puppy will blow your hair back. Damn straight.

The body pours a hazy yellow with a slight orange tint, like chamomile with way too much lemon juice in it. No visible sediment though; it's just really hazy. Three fingers of bone white head rose up from pouring most of the pint can into a standard pint glass, leaving wide bands of fluffy lacing with some volume to it (2mm thick in places).

S: The brew explodes with clear notes of fresh tart pineapple, jasmine, sweet white peach, mango, chamomile, tangerine, apricot and honeycrisp apple. It's notably boozy too, but I personally think it adds to the overall appeal. I don't get any real grain or malt notes. If anything, a hint of white bread.

T: A fat, juicy white peach and a ripe mango each make a big splash into a pool of vodka; tangerine and pineapple watching from the sidelines as jasmine swims circles around it. Sweet, tart apple reluctantly dives in, but that jasmine makes it look like a toddler in the deep end. Apricot and chamomile elect to simply dangle their feet in and stare at the sky.

F: I almost can't believe I used to rate West Coast IPAs so highly in mouthfeel. Nothing beats this balance of smoothness and crispness. Dangerously drinkable.

O: I suppose it doesn't hurt that this was canned two weeks ago, but I have to say, this may be the tastiest IPA I have ever sipped on. Cheers!

Truly delicious! Powerful hop aromas spill out with a pronounced pineapple and mango hit mixed in with the typical citrus scents.

Flavorful on the tongue as well with a smorgasbord of hop flavors including the mango, melon and pineapple as well as grapefruit and orange and lemon zest. Low bitterness and little to no piney flavors for me.

Mouthfeel is also excellent with a dry finish to accompany that low bitterness and sweet backbone.

A great NEIPA and a standout in terms of its overall well balanced hop flavors with low bitterness.

From The Full Pint review:
“Overall, I think this beer is outstanding. It has a lot of finesse and nuance with no single character dominating. You get all the joy from a tropical hazy IPA while maintaining moderate dryness and firm background bitterness. This gives it better structure than other beers in this segment. There’s so much appeal here, I can see why it has gained popularity. I’d recommend this beer to anyone really, especially those new to the hazy IPA style.”

Pint can of Windy Hill sampled at dinner in Brooklyn. Initial impression is an modern hop blast when the pop top is opened. Not my style. A cloudy modern IPA, a style I'm not a big fan of. I actually poured a little of my wife's Porter into the IPA. That calmed the IPA down quite a bit.

Pours a hazy dirty orange juice color with a thick cream colored head that falls back to leave generous lacing. Aroma is full of orange juice and other citrus notes. Flavor follows with only the slightest of hop bite on the finish. Feel is soft and smooth. Overall basically just another hazy juicy IPA without anything special to help it stand out. At the price point a one and done for me.

Very nice, refreshing, flavorful IPA. Nice orange-yellow hazy color with a little residual head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells great, piney and citrus hops. Tastes similarly, along with some floral hops, caramel and malt. Great aftertaste with just the right amount of bitterness. Smooth mild mouthfeel and great carbonation. Very nice, juicy IPA that’s both flavorful and sessionable but it’s just tough to justify the high price tag.

Pouring this beer you are met with a hazy, orange straw body with a well-defined white, lacy head. The foam subsides after three sips, forming an island in the glass' center. The 16 ounce can allows you to rejuvenate the head if needed, depending on the glassware.

Pine or citrus zest on the nose.
The taste is adequately representative of an NE IPA. Juicy, yes, but bitter on both the back and front end.

Overall: I'd seek out this beer again, and not just because I bought a four pack. It's great a la carte for a summer night and easily compliments a meal. As an NE IPA, it fits the bill. And yet, it offers more than just juice due to its easily discernable hop profile.

Hazy but bright golden color with a thick and long-lasting white head. The aroma was there but a bit restrained - some citrus but more berry fruit along with grass and pine needles. Pine up front on the palate, but balanced nicely with some lime-citrus and tropical notes. Even some juniper was in there. Moderately bitter. Dry, bready malt with a clean finish. Enjoyable.
