Like a prostitute hiding behind a veil, this one is a sneaky beauty. Can pours an almost transparent, murky yellow, with a very voluptuous, buxom head that would make Marilyn Monroe proud. From there you are met by a wall of tropical aromas which lead to tastes much the same. Overall, flavor is a bit more faint than this playa would like, and there also is a tad bit of astringency. That being said, this bad boy delivers like the mail man driving the lane.

Pours a cloudy deep yellow with a frothy white head that laces well. Smells of tropical juices flowing into a river of pine. Flavor follows with mango, melon, and pine being the main focus. Feel is smooth and creamy, rich and dense, and still has a good amount of bitterness on the end. Overall, this is an outstanding take on the NEIPA from the west. Cheers!

mikkeller can do no wrong right now, this is a killer pale/ipa hybrid type ale, juicy hoppy and very drinkable. awesome label too! slight haze to this, but clearer than some of their other recent hoppy beer releases, and holding over an inch of airy white head in the glass. lots of fruitiness from the hops in the nose, pineapple and grapefruit, both the mosaic and the simcoe on display equally, with just the faintest cat pee thing going on from the mosaic, and powdered lemonade as well. the flavor is real fresh, a crackery dry malt base with just a bit of body to it, a fine backdrop for these hops, which seem largely late kettle and dry hopped, as the juiciness is huge, and fruitiness not quite as bright as the nose but still robust, and the bitterness very mellow, just enough to crisp up the finish. canned pineapple, white grape, and grapefruit rind to finish as well, and rushing carbonation keeping it moving. this is new school but with nice balance, and is super dialed in as they go. nothing new in the flavor with some now very common hop types and a simple grain base, but they are assembled expertly, and i would gladly drink this one all day long...

This is not a pretty beer but it is a tasty one. The only way I can describe the color is like an Arnold Palmer but this one has a lot of particulate floating about. The head is off white, long lasting and leaves big bands of lacing. The aroma is loaded with orange, grapefruit, pith, pine and caramel sweetness. The flavor follows the scent and tastes like oranges and grapefruits with a drizzle of caramel. This is for with some nice bitter pine and pith. This is a really great beer.

On tap at Khourys. Hazy light straw coloring. Smell is an intense citrus bomb. Taste is like a cannon shooting off every citrus flavor possible: white grapefruit, orange, Meyer lemon, lime. Little bit of dank pine as well. Finishes with a pillowy soft bitterness. A smooth ride with a silky, luscious mouthfeel. Welcome to San Diego, replace these bitter, bone dry west coast ipas quick :).

Windy Hill is your standard dry-hopped, carbonated and alcoholic pineapple juice. A bit of malty biscuit on the mid-palate, some floral and grassy notes on the nose. Tasty and wholly unobjectionable, but not as full-to-bursting with intense flavors as many other examples of the nascent NEIPA style.

Had really high hopes for this, but I am afraid my can could have been old. No sign of canning date anywhere to be found.
Poured from 16 oz can into 20 oz Sauvin glass.

Look: Murky, light yellow color with plenty of frothy head. Really opaque.
Smell: Slight hop scent, but over powering metallic scent.
Taste: Metallic can taste, with somewhat juicy body. Notes of orange and grapefruit, but very diluted and subtle.
Feel: Feel is favorite part of this beer. Thick, full and frothy. Carbonation at minimum.
Overall: I had very high hopes for this beer. I think my issue was the age of the can. I would like to try again fresh.

A: The beer is very hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving medium-sized bubbles in a patch in the middle and in a collar around the edge with a thin film of bubbles on the surface in between. The head also left a bit of lacing running down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tropical fruits are present in the nose—mangos and papayas seem to stand out in particular—along with notes of pine resin.
T: The fruity flavors in the taste follows the smell, except that the piney flavors are a bit stronger and are most prominent in the finish and aftertaste. There are also some hints of tangerines.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and slightly crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this IPA has an interesting contrast between the initial flavors of tropical fruits and the finishing flavors of pine.

Pours a hazy, light straw coloration with a medium, fizzy head. Smells of zesty citrus fruit: grapefruit, tangerine, with a hint of honey. Taste follows the nose, with a hoppy, slightly dank and pretty juicy citrus fruit character: grapefruit, tangerine, lemon peel. Slightly zesty and acidic in the aftertaste, with a light bitterness. Considering the price tag, I found this pretty disappointing. I've had much better, much cheaper European NEIPAs. It's decent, easy drinking, but nothing special at all.

Very light, murky pale amber in color. Smells of pine and lemon. Full bodied and complex with bitter undertones. Overall a very solid IPA.

Pours a nice looking hazy golden color with a fresh white head. Smell is tropical fruit with mango, papaya, citrus and pineapple. Taste had all tropical hops sweet and ripe with a dose of malts. Very soft moutfeel with very little bitterness. A very good NEIPA,very juicy with hops.

Poured from a tall-boy can into my Moonlight shaped pint glass.

Lightly hazy mango body supports a finger of lasting magnolia soft-peaks. Rocky lacing; excellent retention.

Citrus, passion-fruit, garlic chives, and a faintly catty aroma emerge from the glass.

Spicy, rich, and somewhat resinous palate entry suggesting herb-grilled peaches. Moderately bitter with the focus on hop flavor. At the core there is a sweet note like that of an orange/vanilla float. Grain bill seems diverse with hints of wheat or oats beyond the base malt. Finishes medium-dry and zesty.

Soft yet biting mouth-feel draws you back time and time again.

Falls a little short in the aroma I think, but this is a very satisfying NE-style IPA, and is a good showcase for whatever hops they used (Simcoe and Mosaic perhaps?).

Canned 5/10/18, consumed 5/31/18

Poured hazy, cloudy light brown/dirty hay With a nice thick head that left a good amount of lacing. There were a considerable amount of hop boogers at the bottom.

Aroma is mild overall, sharp citrus with lesser notes of tropical fruits. Light but pleasant.

Taste is stronger - zesty, juicy citrus again with some background tropical fruits.

Feel is medium, smooth but not creamy, no real trace of alcohol, easy bitterness.

Overall, solid hazy from Mikkeller SD. Not mind-blowing, but not a lot of noticeable deficiencies either.
