Presentation: 355ml (12 fl.oz) amber-brown glass bottle. I picked up this single from the Trader Joes broken Six-Pack section. The neck label has the words Super Bock and the word beer in 5 languages. The main label comprises a red circle that says Cerveja Super Bock Sabor Autêntico. Best Before 2003.11 and listed as 5.6%. Cost $0.67 for the single sampler, so I figured it was worth a try.
Appearance: Golden colored body, perfectly lucid with a frothy, agitated foam-like head. Laces the glass wall with broken rings, after each swig of the beer, but the lace rings eventually break up and disappear. It has the look of a Euro-Pils, which is rather foreboding.
Nose: Grain, light malts, light hops and a mild fruitiness. Rather reserved.
Taste: Nowhere near as bad as I first feared. A crisp start that leads to a clean middle, which in turn reveals a nice mix of malt and light hops that are all quickly revealed from a lively beer. The carbonation leaves a discernable bitterness on the front of the tongue, with a dry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Average, with a spritzy aspect due to the good carbonation and a dry finish.
Drinkability: Pretty average, maybe thats a bit unfair, its above average really but only just. I could manage a couple of these, if there were no other competitors for my next beer. The astringent bitter finish is the real distinguishing factor from other bland lagers or Euro-Pils that I suspected this would turn out to be. It lends drinkability, and helps it to gain the above average marks.
Overall: Above average, by no means poor - but not a beer I would seek out again. If I was staying in a Portuguese Hotel, and this was the only draft beer on the bar, then I would certainly have no problems drinking a couple.

One of the best-selling beers in Portugal; the Super Bock pours a straw gold body with a bright-white head that unfortunately drops shortly. It keeps a thin collar but leaves next to no lace. The aroma displays a mild fruitiness, grainy malt, and mild herbal hops. The medium body and fine carbonation give it a gentle crispness in the mouth that warms to become creamy and smooth. The flavor is well-balanced between firm, sweet & grainy malt, and a supportive bitterness. Some herbal and grassy hop flavor adds to the character. It finishes dry with a lingering hop flavor that's a refreshing change from many "European-style" lagers. Enjoyable, but not really memorable.

330ml bottle. Lager glass. Straw color, crystal clear appearance. White & rocky foam shows correct retention. Yeasty, grainy, sweet & sulfur aromas. Cloying & flat upfront. Light but bothering body. Moderate carbonation. Watery texture. Grainy flavors & slight metal hues. Dry bitter finish. Harsh & unbalanced.

Pours a flat golden beer, can't get any foam from this tried to revive the head but just goes
So aroma is quite frankly metallic and slight lemon like many a cheap lager
And tastes like that
Best thing is mf

Another pale lager for the masses. This one looks god in the glass though, with ample foamy head. Decent maltiness in the taste, but still tastes weak and watery.

A: Typical color for a lager. Pours into a nice yellowish color.
S: Nothing worth mentioning.
Taste/Mouth feel: A refreshing beer that misses the style overall. Taste is somewhat metallic which is a turnoff.
O: I really want to like this beer... Being Portuguese, I like to support the "homeland" product, but this one disappoints. I would like to try some of their other beers though.
