A traditionally mellow hop character comes together with a beautiful mahogany color in this especially drinkable brown ale. Pleasant hints of chocolate and caramel linger in the finish.

12 oz can.

Pours out a shade of dark caramel, near clear, medium khaki mini cap and leaves just a few strands of lacing.

Sweet caramel sniff, with some malty notes.

Medium to lighter mouthfeel wise.

On the palate, its ready and sweet malts, again caramel...thin in the flavor department, def nothing special going on here...best I can say is that it is doing its job as a part of my chicken marinade...lower end brown ales are good for something...this one is suitable for that purpose and not much else

12 oz can poured into Tallgrass globe snifter.

Light sandy brown color forming a body of darkened brown sugar in the glass with a finger of bubbly, creamy off-white head. Hilly lace as the head recedes.

Aromas of banana bread and brown wheat bread; slight brown malt, faint nut, faint caramel, slight tobacco.

Flavor brings intense dark bread bitterness, rusty metal, faint nuttiness, earthy hop tones, with slight caramel/karo sweetness. High level of earthy hop bitterness.

Feel is creamy with a distinct sharp carbonation with a surprising amount of acidity. A bit on the lighter side even for a brown ale.

Overall, not terrible but not that great. Could use more sweetness, a creamier feel, and a general complexity here.

Very good brown ale. Clear Amber color. Pours with thick cream colored head that dissipates fairly quickly. No harsh after taste.
