"Ochakovo Premium Rubin" - a unique beer, cooked in a combination of several varieties of high-end malt. Using a special formula to achieve the noble ruby hue and the color of the drink a light caramel color to taste."
"Ingredients: water, special brewing malt, hops. The density of 12%, alcohol content 4.1% vol. Ring Crown Poured into the original glass bottle with a capacity of 0.5 liters."
"Shelf life: in a bottle - 8 months, in the aluminum Bank - 12 months in - 3 months."
The style is a best guess, Ratebeer lists it as a "Vienna" so I will go with Vienna Lager as a beginning style classification.
Hazy red colored beer in a clear glass bottle found in the beer cooler at Hi-Time.
In the glass it is a semi-clear red colored beer with a small tan head.
Smell is bread with some malt and slightly spicy. Basically this smells a lot like Kvass.
Taste starts out semi sweet and very yeasty and bread like. Slightly sour aftertaste, this does finish fairly clean. Little bit of apple flavor, kind of tastes like Kvass too.
Mouthfeel is thick.
Well this is different! And that is the most flattering thing I can say about this. Tempted to switch the style to Kvass but I will let that wait for a few other reviews and consensus to change.
