Two floors, modern, chic, warm. Solid selection, cheese plate with beers was great. Really solid place

I stopped in the Exchange Brewery before taking in a show at the Shaw Festival. It is a small, narrow place with a large window looking into the brewery. The bartender was pleasant and informative. I questioned him about the Berliner Weiss, thinking the grapefruit I was detecting was an additive. He explained it was a result of the yeast. I don't know if this a place for locals but tourists are advised to check it out. It's only a 3 minute walk to the festival theatres. They also sell a variety of merchandise. I picked up an aftershave balm made of hops, rosemary and orange. Good balm. Good beer.

I was on a tour bus, that happened to stop by this charming little town. While most people headed straight for the ice cream, I couldn't turn down the chance to check out a local brewery. It was a lot fancier than I thought. They are going for the fancy beer ingredient that pairs with food thing. That's fine, but the beer wasn't really all that special. I did buy a few bottles to bring home. Both were fine, but nothing I would go out of my way to track down again.

On the main street of a modest and quaint resort town, this micro-brewery was a pleasant find.
We had the flight of three ales and three cheeses. Recommended (although I neglected to ask if the cheeses were standard or intentionally paired with my beer choice... but they seemed to be.) I like how they enumerate and give other keyboard signs to their beers. Regrettably, I can't give as high Quality marks for their ales, really just average. Caveats were they were a bit cold and I was sharing with my wife (so there was not enough for me to get used to an ale.) I also generally object to when a brewhouse does not sell the competition. While this might make sense from a short-term business sense, they will learn something from the competition.
The Service was fine; answering my questions about how the Ontario beer market was so different because the state, basically, takes the money that distributors make in the U.S. And with a street fair going on outside on Main Street, the Vibe inside was fine.

Eight brews on tap - clean decor - oddly modern french bistro meets techno.

This is a nice place with a very new age chic look with a bar upstairs and downstairs with a patio in the upstairs portion. They have a lot of their beer for sale to the left along the wall when you walk in and merchandise. They also have their beer cold in coolers to the right. The quality is good, but nothing truly remarkable. The beer is a tad pricey, but they are in the high rent district of Niagara on the Lake. Service was impeccable from people that are really enthusiastic about what they are doing. They also have a pretty diverse tap list of 8 beers that they rotate and some extra ones not on tap in 750ml bottles. This is a nice Oasis in a fairly barren beer landscape.

Right on the main street in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Really nice spot, great service and a perfect spot to stop for a while and sample brews. Love the take away bottles and decor.

A good tourist spot downtown in this pretty little town, near the Shaw Festival. Pleasing atmosophere, reasonable prices for beer. Some catered bar food available. Always 8 taps of their beer on, and some 750 ml. bottles for sale to go. Beers were more or less flavourful, not the intensity of the west Toronto group of new brewers using brett. But give it time!
