I am not sure what is going on with this beer. I have had it twice, and though it is not horrible, the carbonation in it usually makes it over flow right out of the bottle.

It has a dark amber color and gives off a large amount of head that doesn't last long. Very dull piney taste and very little citrus as well. I can't really distinguish the caramel/malt taste. This one does not do it for me. I would like to see them drive home the malt taste a little better.

Purchased in a 6-pack because the Peach beer is so respected.

It is very over carbonated, to the extent that attempting to open at cellar temp results in a large foam over. When poured cold the head is very excessive and the beer clearly has too much CO2.

The smell is malt and piney hops, the taste is the malt with the hop, and very little of caramel described by the makers. The fact there is too much CO2 spoils the mouthfeel and the beer overall.

I emailed the brewers to tell them it is very over carbonated, with the lot number, 4350. They emailed to say the beer was about 6 months out from bottling when consumed, and they suspect too much yeast was in the bottles causing carbonation in the bottle while in the warehouse.

A- Pours as a deep golden color with an orange glow that settles into the glass with a slight haze. One of the largest, frothiest heads I have ever seen. Slightly off-white head that takes forever to settle.

S- Decent amount of hoppy aroma with hints of citrus and pine. Bready malt sneaks through to provide some grainy aromas.

T- Pretty balanced with the piney hops coming through the toasted malt. Hints of caramel malt and a sugar-sweet flavor sneaks in from time to time as well.

M- Not sure if there are carbonation issues with this one or not, but the huge head seems to have impacted the carbonation. Otherwise, medium bodied and pretty drinkable.

O- A decent pale ale that is easy to drink and balanced. Worth a try.
