Smells surprisingly fruity when you open the bottle. Reminded me of a Hefe right off the bat. Pours a very dark orange color. Looks like a very thick cloudy brew with a thin off white head. The lacing is not very plentiful but does stay with you. Initial taste is very fruity but almost immediately becomes very bitter with a dry finish. If it would finish like it started as far as taste, I would absolutely love it. Unfortunately for that reason I think I'll have to pass on any future purchases of this brew. Guess I'm not meant to enjoy this type of beer, labeled as a Double Pale Ale.

Double Pale Ale with 8.0% alc. by vol. bottled on 05.20.15. Tasted on August 13, 2015 in a Teku glass from a 12 oz bottle. Look is hazy amber, two finger head that dissipates to a thin top and nice lingering lacing. Smell is caramel, toffee, bread and alcohol. Taste is caramel, biscuit, and sweet citrus. Feel is medium in body and a little bitter in finish.

Dark gold pour. Hop nose. Malt base with a touch of honey. Solid bigger beer.

No date on bottle, almost no carbonation and very murky. No hop bitterness and very very sweet, lots of malt for sure but pretty one noted. Mouthfeel was very cloying and sweet. I suspect it was a very old bottle.

Had this three times in the past two years and all three times it was a solid full flavored, well balanced DIPA. One of the best I've has in the South outside of Florida. It's worth buying. 4.25
