Had this one at the source! Served from cask into an RJ Rockers shaker. Poured yellow-orange with a one finger off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, clove, coriander, dark chocolate, fruit, and sugar. The flavor was of sweet malt, dark chocolate, fruit, clove, coriander, and subtle peppermint. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty decent brew. I really went into this brew expecting something truly special. However, it fell a little short of what I was hoping for. The cocoa nibs and marshmallows really didn’t add a huge amount to the base brew as the spices of the base brew covered up quite a bit of them. Especially when it came to the marshmallows. Glad I got to try it but would love to see a different treatment in the future. Tick.
