Poured from a 16oz can into a pint glass. Color is the deepest brown, bordering on black, with almost no head. Aroma is nothing short of a peanut factory--really amazing. Given the higher ABV, it's incredibly smooth and not punishing at all. So much peanut butter, some chocolate, and some nuttiness that goes beyond a normal PB stout. The carbonation level is fine, but high for the style as others mentioned, which is confusing for a beer this thick and rich. Not exactly a bad thing, though. It's a fantastic dessert beer.

I believe I got a can of this beer either from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego.....or perhaps I got a can from a visit to the brewery over a year ago. Nevertheless, it poured an opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had bold and brilliant peanut butter notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to sip. There was a chocolate malt base with peanut butter presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Really pronounced peanut taste stands out. The lactose is annoying and the malts are nothing special.

Pours black with two fingers of mocha colored foam. Head retention is great. Aroma is peanut butter, which has a hearty dry undertone, which undercuts the balance a little. Beyond the peanut butter is timid milk chocolate, toffee, and roasty, toasty malts. Peanut butter is the main theme here, but no surprise based on the name - 'stout' is the afterthought. Flavor profile is thick peanut butter, this time it has less of a dry undertone, coming off more creamy and authentic. Milk and dark chocolate layer over toffee and caramel, and roasty, toasty malts for the rest of the flavor profile. It's quite decadent, but not overly sweet or syrupy. Mouth feel is thick, with a decadent, velvety, creamy texture. Just based on the mouth feel, it would be suggested this beer is north of 12%, which is not the case - all that to say it drinks thiccc. Overall, the namesake is not a misnomer - peanut butter and stout - notice where peanut butter is placed in the label. Outside of this flavor additive, it remains a simple stout underneath.

Insane amounts of peanut butter. Dark black body, full bodied, relatively lower in carbonation. Smooth JIF peanut butter and milk chocolate. More peanut butter and nuttiness. Executed really well, one of the best PB beers I've had.

poured from a 16oz can into a snifter. pours a dark brown but gathers black in the glass with a tiny bit of tan head in addition to a few air bubbles. smells of roast, peanuts, peanut butter and the faintest (and kind of oddest) aromas of blueberry and maple. taste is similar with a good amount of creamy peanut butter up front but finishes with that roasty floury flavor. mouthfeel is above decent. it’s on the thicker side of things with maybe a touch too much carbonation. overall, peanut butter is tough. it’s hard to produce that flavor and pass it off as natural. still, this a really good attempt and it’s a fun, tasty stout.
