Notes: Sour blonde ale brewed and barrel fermented on 9/17/2017 and emptied 8/16/2018 onto 400 lbs of Missouri peaches from Thies Farms located only 6 miles from the brewery. After an additional 5 months of aging on peaches the beer was bottled on 1/9/2019 and bottle conditioned for 8 months before being released.

Pours a pale orange with a hint of transparency around the edges. Head is a finger of white foam with poor retention. Aroma is a huge hit of peach. After the initial and middle peaches hit, there is a little cellar stone, lemon zest, and biscuity malts before another harvest of peach. Light lactic pucker to it, but nothing substantial. Intriguing. Flavor profile is peach through and through. Outside of the massive peach notes are hints and twinges of cellar stone, lemon zest, grassy and floral hops and light, flaky biscuit malts. There is a little lactic sour twist at the finish. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a little, prickly effervescence that mingles and pairs well with the lactic sourness. Overall, peaches are the story. Peaches mingle in the cellar with a little warhead sourness in each sip. Balance is superb.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 500mL bottle.

poured from a 500mL bottle into a perennial wine glass. pours a hazy orange with a half finger of white head. smells of peach candy, oak, grape must and a hint of white wine. taste is similar with the peach candy flavor going on. has a little bit of oaky dryness to the finish. feel is full, bubbly and dry on the finish. not over the top thick but not thin either. probably my only area of nitpicking on this beer but overall this was fantastic. for a brewery known for IPAs it won’t be long before they’re known for their wilds (and their stouts - but that’s another time & place) if they continue to be this good.
