Cloudy light banana color with two fingers of yellow-tinted head. Good retention and thick, sloppy lacing.

Sweet aroma of pineapple, peach and grapefruit.

Less sweet tasting. The same fruit juice shows up front, but it’s cut by a moderately strong herbal bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste.

Creamy, thick-bodied feel with good carbonation.

This is a great beer.

Growler score 6/21/18 opened on 7/3/18
Poured into a long stem Treehouse glass

Opaque gold with orange and white highlights. Most of the white fluff topping forms up fast and then fades away. Usually, this style has head for days!! (that's right, head for days) fluffy, dense, huge lacing, but this one just fizzles out due to the time duration in the...*gasp*! Growler. The growler fill strikes again! Lol. Seriously just another reason cans are king.

The hoppy aroma permeates strong out of the glass, with deep citrus, sweet tropicals and tangy fruits. Pineapple, oranges, grapefruit, mango, vodka, honey scented malt is all very impressive. Grassy and herbal scent with a deep baseline of fruity hops is very complex indeed.

The flavor is on par with many of the excellent NE styles ipa's out there right now. Sick amounts of lush, fresh, juicy hops makes the complexity of flavor off the charts.
A fresh zesty kick hits first, then long, slicks of full feeling, smooth tones that have a slightly sweet m tangy malty tadte with orange juice and white pepper flavored hops. The swwetness comes from some mango and citrus notes to the hops, honey-like tones from the malty grains and herbal effects. This ipa is very raw, nasty, unbalanced and just damn good.

Had at Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT. First time trying this brewery and the bartender was quick to recommend them. This certainly wasn't a let down. Really big tropical beer combined with some grapefruit and resin. Very tasty.

Poured from a 32 oz growler filled at the brewery.

Pours a completely opaque golden orange color with 2 fingers of fluffy egg shell white head. The head has great retention, leaving an absurd amount of lacing as it settles into a thin sheet.

The aroma is dank and tropical, bringing notes of pineapple and overripe mango. Then comes a huge wave of grapefruit and orange rind. The back end is layered with notes of pine needles and sweet cereal grains.

The taste has a ton of grapefruit, orange, honeydew melon, mango, and pineapple. The finish is lightly spicy with plenty of bready malt and cereal grains. Wonderfully balanced.

The feel is medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Exceptionally creamy and smooth, with just enough prickly carbonation. Bitterness sits on the tongue and rolls off gently on the finish. Perfect mouthfeel, not dissimilar to a Hill Farmstead IPA.

Overall, this is unquestionably one of the best IPA's I've ever had. It's beautifully balanced and the feel as it goes down is literally perfect.
