Growler share. My portion was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a black color with a small off white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Slight messy lace. The aroma had some milk chocolate/cocoa powder, roasted coffee beans, sweet oats, subtle wood, light cereal/grain sweetness with a touch of earthiness. The flavor seemed to blend fairly nice between the roast and the sweet and bringing in the earthy portions in a semi-bitter sort of way for extra balance. Light roasty aftertaste and finish. The palate was about medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Solid smoothness along my tongue. Overall, pretty good oatmeal stout well worthy of having again. Hope they bring this back next Winter or Autumn.

From a 32oz growler.
Pours a dark brown color, almost black, with very little head or lacing on the glass.
Smell has a huge amount of roasted coffee, quite bitter to the nose, with touches of roasted malt as well, the locally roasted coffee complements the aroma nicely.
Taste starts out and ends with a strong coffee presence, roasted malt backing, hop balance is quite low, low carbonation with a decent thickness.

Taste at the brewery and 10oz. pour from a growler later that evening.
Dark brown with translucent edges when held up to a light. Tan foam head, thin but persistent.
Soft cocoa aroma, bitter and sweet chocolate, medium roasted coffee and roasted grains.
Coffee and chocolate flavors are present and not overpowering to each other or the base brew. Nice cocoa sweetness melds with coffee bitterness and a bittersweet chocolate and roasted grain finish.
Moderate carbonation, feels a bit light in body, which isn't a huge detractor at this ABV.
A lot of flavor layers packed into a relatively low ABV stout. Not a thick, creamy, oily black stout, but easy drinking with great flavor.
