A beautifully aromatic and balanced milk stout with delicious notes of peanut butter, coffee, and dark chocolate. This dark, mythical beer nods to the long-passed legends of our region’s seafarers. (Does not contain nuts or peanuts)

16 oz can
Pours black, with tan colored head. Decent head retention. Big peanut butter and milk chocolate aroma and taste, but not overly sweet or cloying. Medium bodied, but pretty smooth mouthfeel

I sampled the imperial version of this offering a few days ago. I probably should have tried this one first, but I was never one for proper protocol.
I actually think that there is more peanut butter essence in this nose than in the imperial version. However, that fabulous graham cookie note is lacking. The flavor has peanut butter notes as well, but nothing here is assertive enough for my liking.

Gifted a can. Unremarkable other than peanut butter produced off taste.

Smells like coco puffs or coco rice crispies or something. Taste basically follows but opens up into incredibly overt hazelnut notes, and maybe also a mix of peanut butter and coffee. Close to 0 bitterness. It's not what I'm looking for in beer, although that's not really its fault, and if you want a really rich sweet roasty beer bordering on saccharine you'll probably like it a lot.
