Batch 24 Canned on 08/13/24
Appearance: Very hazy, almost milky with a two finger white head that dissipated slowly at first, then a little more quickly, leaving behind a thin lacing ring and finishing with a 1/4inch of foam. This looks almost like the correct ratio for a mimosa with slightly less carbonation, while being a bit more opaque.
Aroma: Distinct notes of orange and lemon. A very good, albeit slightly muted nose.
Taste: Bursting with fruit, even more pronounced on the tongue than up the nose. No bitterness in sight. Very crushable, but with an 8.3% alcohol content I probably shouldn't. I'm not familiar with Kohatu hops, but whatever they bring to the mix is definitely a proper addition. El Dorado and Mosaic are two of my well established choices, and NZ Cascade was also utilized properly here.
Mouthfeel: Creamy, like a slightly melted orange creamsicle. Not too thick, not too thin. Very crushable.
Overall: An excellent example of the style. I used to make a somewhat frequent Portland run, so Mast Landing was readily available. Admittedly I stopped traveling for beer for a while, but I went to return cans the other day and saw that one of my local, pretty decent sized stores has a nice Portland, SoPo, Westbrook etc. selection so I picked up a few four-packs from my old haunts. Needless to say, this beer will be a no brainer purchase in the future when it is available. If you like citrus forward, creamy, intoxicating IPAs without a trace of bitterness or alcohol heat, pick up some of this. I'm happy that I did.

Canned 11/09/23. Let sit out for five minutes before opening.
Hazy orangey-gold, with half-finger of ivory head, that leaves a thing ring of lacing.
Smells mostly of freshly-cut Valencia orange. There are hints of pineapple, papaya, and unripe peach, with some fresh crackery malt.
Taste is pretty close to aroma, but with the orange a little less predominant, and the peach a bit more apparent, near finish. Moderate bitterness, that lingers awhile.
Feel is medium, and juicy, with slight creaminess in the middle. Light-moderate very, very fine carbonation tingle, that becomes a light burn towards finish. This might be the only indication of a higher abv. Even at 6 weeks, it might need another couple of weeks to hit peak. Slight drying sensation after finish.
Overall, pretty good. At this point , it's nothing unusual , but there is pleasure in a normally good thing , well done, & up to standard. Give it a try. :)

Pours a hazy light orange color with a 1F head and moderate lacing.
Smells of floral, grassy hops with some citrus.
Tastes of orange, grapefruit and pineapple with a lightly bitter, boozy warm finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth and lightly syrupy mouthfeel.
This is a very drinkable , juicy NEIPA.

Thank you, Dave!! Can poured into Mast Landing pint glass at home. Thick appearance, strong head and flavor. Very good if you want a double.

From a 16oz can, dated 08/08/23. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a hazy, dull orange with a finger-plus of creamy head. Retention is excellent, leaving a solid sheet of sudsy lacing.
Nose is crackery, sharp and fruity. Aromas of pineapple, peach, and orange.
Taste is light, bright and crackery, in line with the nose except maybe just a little boozier than expected. Tasting pineapple, peach, pine resin and orange slice. Finishes with a little fuselly smudge, which is too bad because it’s completely delightful right up until then.
Feel is bright and juicy, medium-light bodied relative to the style and briskly carbonated. Some resin, some stickiness, no warmth.
Overall, a mixed bag, but mostly to the positive. Very nearly flawless excepting that minor, nearly forgivable, greasy fusel note at the end of each sip. The mouthfeel was exceptionally lively for an 8.3% abv beer and was probably worth the price of admittance right there.

In the upper tier of its style. Not top, but upper. You will enjoy if you are looking for a not bitter, not too tropical, more classic NEIPA that goes down easy and kicks! I'll have another. More for an enjoyable quality experience than for a snobby evaluation session, but it does stand up to good ones.

A Tavour Treat Pours a pale yellow color with a foamy head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of grapefuit and citrus fruits. Taste is tangy grapefuit. Only slightly bitter at the finish. An enjoyable brew.
