A pale ale I actually like. It's pretty sweet and not hop forward which I guess I like. Not a candy sweetness despite its name. Good beer for a hot day.

Gorgeous amber color APA, delicate white lacing indicative of the style as well with a lactose haze. Beautiful. Smell is malt and wheat. Taste is sweet and creamy and malty. Its a unique taste for an APA. any carbonation is almost nonexistent, making this easily crushable. It’s just okay for me, i like APA’s alot because they typically have some zingy hop flavors to wake up my taste buds. This is quite bland, all of the flavors are one note, sweet. Theres no astringent from alcohol, its just meh. Glad i tried it and that it was only one can.

Purchased in Indiana.
16 oz can...Charlie Brown groan...8/20...2019. I cannot believe I overlooked this. In my haze of singles nabbing, this "19" looked like a "20" somehow. I figured this would be just on the cusp of freshness. Well, can't say I've ever reviewed a lactose IPA that was over a year old.

I'll try to keep that in mind.

Pours a medium gold with a creamy finger of head. Stays pretty firm.

Aroma, as expected, is full of oxidation. Sulfur, citrus rinds, onion, wax paper. Not much else remains.

Flavor brings a decent amount of polite sweetness up front, followed by some grapefruit rind, tangerine, and heavy hop oxidation. The sweetness comes back on the finish.

Feel is very carbonated, sticky, and slightly resiny.

Overall, I don't know if this should count, but I paid for it so I might as well review it. Seems like it was a pretty okay beer at one time.

Price paid : probably $5 or something
Would buy again : Yeah, I gotta make this right

Pours a rather bright yet hazy orange color with just a quarter inch of foam that settles to a nice ring. Smells rather sweet some tangerine hops sugary malts and just a slight hint of milk sugars. Taste is a little bit subdued maybe some tangerine hops and sugary malts it still balance and quite flavorful. Smooth body and easy to crush this name pretty much lives up to the hype. Not bad!

Fairly nice pale ale from the great 18th Street Brewery. No date printed on can, as always, but this one was obtained directly from the brewery. Pours a pale slightly hazy yellow color with lots of fluffy white head and some nice small rings of lingering lacing that slowly faded. Aromas of orange and lemon fruity hops, some grapefruit and vanilla as well as the malt and bread. Tastes similarly, good balance, fairly flavorful but a little distant. Not as much depth as I would have liked. Smooth mild crisp mouthfeel, good carbonation. Overall tasty, next time I would try others though.

A - Pours a hazy copper color, white head, moderate with some amount of persistence. Small bubble lacing.

S - Slight fruit, mostly citrus, with strong pine and hop notes.

T - Front is tart fruit and hop resin, lush and full. The middle softens, bringing forward cracker and toast malt notes, and a finish that is a slow fade with just a hint of bitterness which contrasts with what you might expect from the big smack of hops in the open.

M - Moderate weight with brisk carbonation, and a mildly dry finish and just a slight weight of resin.

O - A quite drinkable hop-forward APA. Solid flavor, good feel, a genuinely refreshing drinker.
