Pours a murky boysenberry color with two fat fingers of similarly-colored head. The head seems fizzy at first, but ends up having decent retention. It leaves heavy fruit schmegma on the side of the glass mixed in with the lacing.
Big berry yogurt in the nose.
The taste is a bit more beer-like than expected. Definitely still yogurty and lactose heavy, but with a berry-fruited sour beer base, instead of pure fruit juice and yogurt. There’s a little of that hairy-berry toast thing in the finish, too.
Full bodied and creamy feeling, although not as thick as the appearance led me to expect. Nice burst of carbonation in the finish.
This one smells world-class. The taste is very good but doesn’t rise to the level that the best of these fruit-and-lactose bombs can achieve, IMO.
