Pours a dark brown color with a white head and some lace. Aroma of toasty malts, dark fruit, nuts and coffee,

In the taste, dark fruit and a bit of maple syrup, especially growing syrupy in the aftertaste like Log Cabin maple syrup which I enjoy thoroughly.

Medium bodied feel and well carbonated. Overall, this is a pretty good bock, I like the maple influence and hints of toffee.

Pours hazed brown with a slightly red tint and a foamy tan head. Some lacing sticks.

The smell is of earthy notes, bread, nuts, caramel and a hint of maple. Soft nose.

The taste is of caramel/toffee, nuts, dark bread. Maple is just enough to give it a unique sweetness and more complexity without being too sweet or masking. Earthy notes and some grass keep the sweetness balanced. A touch of warmth comes through in the finish.

Malty lager smoothness and appropriate carbonation level fit wonderfully.

A nice darker bock with a touch of maple. A well-made lager! Pairs well with smoked ham!

Hinterland Maple Bock. Beer brewed with maple syrup. One pint. Brewed and bottled by Green Bay Brewing Company, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Dark auburn hue, slim tan head.

Aroma: sweet and malty, earthy, nutty….maple-y.

Taste: all that from the nose climbs on board the palate. Mild and subtle, smoothy and easily consumable. Medium-bodied. Sweet, maple-y finish. Hops are muted, malt is king. Absolutely approachable and fairly pleasing to the tongue.

I don't mind this one, but it's clearly outside my bag. Not in my wheelhouse, as some are fond of saying (I'm not.). No ABV given, but I'd put it around 5.5%, maybe. This has to have it's fans out there, but as for me, I think one is good enough.

Appearance- Pours a dark red with brown hues, two finger off white head that lingers for a short time and leaves moderate lacing.

Smell- Not a strong smell, some maple syrup and caramel, some sour fruits in the nose.

Taste- Chalky maple syrup, a hint of bittersweet chocolate and some tartness with a bit of cherry in the background. Not a lot of malt flavor. No hops, little bitterness.

Mouthfeel- Carbonation is a little low, mouthfeel is alright. A bit of tartness leaves some tingling after swallowing.

Overall- An ok beer, can taste the maple but it doesn't mix very well with the rest of the beer. Sweet maple are tart fruit.
