L: Poured aggressively into large snifter yielding dark, opaque with thin tan head that dissipates quickly.
S: Strong on the dates.
T: Follows up the smell - stronger with pronounced date. Sweet.
F: Smooth up front and turns dry at the end - what I've come to expect for an Imp Stout.
O: Great first beer for me from Hinterland. Recommended.

T - Flavor is largely true to the aroma. Coffee and dark fruit. Rich and sweet. High alcohol content is apparent.
F - Full.
O - A rich, and boozy, dark beer.

Pours an effervescent ebony with a pinky+ of mocha colored head. Okay head retention & lacing
S: Slight sourness & redwine
T: Carob, dark chocolate, a little bit of red grape & woody hops, plus dryness up front. More dryness, red grape & charred grain bitterness as this warms, plus a little Baker's Chocolate & a little more woody hops. Finishes dry with red grapes, and woody hops & chocolate
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, warming
Was hoping for more, but worth a try, was hoping for more of a Bourbon signature
