12 oz can poured into North Coast tuliip.
Pours a rose-orange color with a tall fluffy head of 2 fingers, leaving lots of huge creamy blobs left behind as it recedes.
Aromas of stone fruit - I want to say peach or nectarine but it's obviously black currant. Slight bread in the aroma, with some light acidity.
Flavor is actually a bit more bitter than I anticipated, likely due to the black currant fruit. The bready notes are present, with black currant fruit, slight raisin, bitter underripe nectarine, and slight green hop bitterness.
Feel is crisp and creamy, with slight acidity.
Overall, I like their Apricot Saison better, but this beer actually opens up quite nicely as it warms. Try it once or twice.
