Poured 0.5l bottle into a Weizen glass.

L: The beer is hazy and of beautiful amber color. White foamy head is 2 fingers high, has a good retention and leaves plenty of lacing. Medium carbonation is visible in the glass.

S: Citrus fruits and banana, along with sweet malts, clove and spicy alcohol.

T: Follows the nose. Starts with banana and citrus fruits, followed by clove and spicy alcohol. All flavors are mild and nicely balanced. Gentle peppery aftertaste.

M: Feels medium bodied. Smooth and crisp on the palate with very pleasant carbonation.

O: Very refreshing and thirst quenching. Goes down very easily. Typical Hefeweizen flavors are present. Still, they are not that strong compared to some other beers of this style, but rather mild and subtle. Not the best Hefeweizen out there, but if you are looking for a session Hefe, this is the one I would surely recommend.

This hefe pours a slightly opaque light orange color with a medium, white, foamy head. The smell is of wheat and is a fairly typical hefe scent. The body is light, but there are some nice malt and wheat flavors. The citrus flavor here is somewhat stronger than others that I’ve tried of this style with notes of orange and lemon to go along with the typical hefe banana flavors. This beer is quite light and refreshing. It is definitely a nice summer beer. It isn’t super interesting, however, and not nearly as polished as some of the great German hefes. Nonetheless it’s pretty easy drinking if you want something nice and light and crisp to get drunk on.

Beautiful pour, hazy golden color with lots of fine carbonation and thick, creamy head. Aroma is also right on banana, bubblegum, bread. Taste seems a bit weaker than the strong aroma leads you to believe, and mouthfeel is more on the watery side (not as thick as should be for the style. A very good weizen.

500ml bottle poured into a weizen glass by freshness date.

A:
Cloudy pale yellow color with huge white pillowy head that possesses a power to withstand a good period of time then leaves plenty of lacing patches all around. The head looks splendid; rocky, frothy and silky thereafter falls to everlasting foamy layer. Visible carbonation seems to be medium.

S:
Very fruity and yeasty comprise with note of banana, bubblegum, clove and some spice along with bready malt.

T:
The taste starts with bubblegum and overripe banana. Powdery yeast and clove spice disclose in the middle. At the end, citrus and slight tartness wrap up the palate along with vague bitterness from hop.

M:
Medium-bodied, semi-smooth mouthfeel with refreshing touch through the palate from lively crispness and carbonation, finish is dry.

D:
There is nothing notable but still a fairly good and easy drinkable brew.

A; yellow straw colour, with big soft poofy head, quicky dies though to a film of froth. Alpine filtered, crisp clear, & well carbonated.
S: Sweet, with hints of phenols/cloves, plus banana.
T: Very sweet. big banana taste, cloves, slightly skunky end, & whats with the Memminger artificial syrupy sweetness - not attractive & a little plastic...eeeww! Spoilt this alot. I got the same artificial syrupy wrongness with their lager...little pepperish too, with a touch of bitterness (not much but)
Gotta say it did get a fraction better after a couple of mouthfuls abiet just.
M: Peppery mouthfeel, & a little coaty on the palate.
D: Just can't get past the memminger syrupy thing...its holding me back big time.

First an admission - this was breakfast in Berlin! The beer was orange in colour and cloudy as a hefeweizen should be and had a head which was an inch and a half high. There was a distinct citrus smell and that was accentuated in the first mouthful - tart and refreshing. The mouthfeel was zingy without being astringent. Taste wise it was similar to a Schofferhofer, although easier to drink. A wonderful way to start the day.

Orange hazy appearance. Creamy, soft, white and compact head.
The smell is definitely sweet, sugary. Strong banana, surely exaggerated. If you can extricate yourself out of the sweet sea, you can feel some wheat.
The taste is sweet, too, with banana again, but there is also some citric, that partially helps to drink it.
Citric more strong in the aftertaste, where there are also some hints of spices (orange peel?, cloves?).

Drank in Venice for 55 Eurocents. Cloudy straw golden brew forms a poofy white head atop small bubbles, with poor retention and lacing. Aroma is distinctly smoky and phenolic with cloves but no bananas. Carbonation is moderately strong. Mouthfeel is crisp and wet with a brisk finish. Taste begins with spicy flavor hops, leading into a phenolic wheat character without residual sweetness...there is a slight husky character in the middle, and the finish is bright with a well-balanced bitterness. Yeast flavor is absent and alcohol is imperceptible. Finish is great. A well-done brew with an interesting take.
