From a pint can with no date marking but I grabbed it off the shelf as the distributor was stocking it so it must be reasonably fresh.

Poured into my tulip glass this beer is an opaque amber shade with a tall bubbly ecru head which leaves some fluffy lace as it falls.

Scent is oranges, tangerine, mango.

Taste is tropical fruit, orange, tangerine. Vanilla orange ("Orange Whip? Orange Whip?") Pear. A hint of banana. Pine. Mild to moderate sweetness balanced by a solid bitterness. There's even a hint of onion here.

Mouth is somewhere between creamy and juicy with a soft carbonation.

Great DIPA with a creamy orange vanilla focus and a nice array of secondary hop flavors.

Oh-J pours a cloudy, somewhat thick orange juice color with a thick and creamy head. The smell is a big citrusy aroma with orange, grapefruit and a melon sweetness. Taste is big orange and citrus fruit including some zest with a medium mouthfeel.

Just had this on its birthday release at the brewery. The description and name promote mega citrus and the beer does not disappoint. I could be drinking a glass of ginger ale for all the alcohol notes which means there are none. This 8.1% is completely hidden away beneath exquisite sharp (yet pleasant) citrus notes. The flavor is a cross between eating a tangerine and giving a little nibble to the rind for a bery slight bitterness that is welcome and balances the fruit flavors.

This brewery has been growing in my esteem for some time. First Brightside IPA woke me up and made me pay attention to this little brewery in the Bayside neighborhood then they dropped Tessellation just to show they had the science down. I feel like this beer is their magnum opus. I've had Swish and Dinner and Heady Topper and the rest. I feel that this is the best DIPA I have ever had but I would like to let some time set in and go a couple rounds with Oh-J before I crown it. Right now, sitting in the pleasant tangerine wonderland they've brought to my senses it is hard to see myself seeking any other beer over this. An absolute masterpiece in brewing. This beer will become difficult to obtain very soon. Enjoy.....what a good time to enjoy brews as a Mainer.

16 oz can into chalice. No date.
Look is nice hazy yellow/orange. Smel is citrus with orange on top. Taste follows nose and has a funk at the end. Feel is light. Overall, not bad but I wouldn't seek it out.

On tap at Antenna America, Kannai, Yokohama:

This is the first time I’ve had an IPA that explicitly/unashamedly defines itself by its fruit qualities where I felt everything comes together and works as a cohesive whole.

Just the right level of pithy bite in the flavor, complemented by a perfect, almost creamy mouthfeel.

Poured a nice, light orange hue with good carbonation. The aroma clearly had the zing of zesty orange, without being overwhelmingly fruity. Overall, the orange/tangerine flavors really compliment the bitterness of the hops, without being overly tart or fruity. This beer would be a great grab on a hot summer day, but for now, its transporting me out of the snowy New England cold. Great beer to break my dry January beer fast.

Shotgunned 2 4 packs and it was great. Seriously poked a hole in the bottom with my keys and slammed this sweet goodness. Don’t worry, I had a designated driver.

Looks like orange juice.

Smells like orange, peach, pineapple, and mango.

Tastes like freshly squeezed orange with some bite from the peel. Hints of peach and mango, but orange and grapefruit dominate. White bread and grainy oats in the middle. The finish is lightly dry with a bit of grapefruit peel bitterness.

Creamy, but not gooey. Medium-light carbonation. Soft and silky.

Extremely well made, clean, citrusy NEDIPA. Excellent.

Look...for me this is an ideal look for beers i enjoy
Smell...Orange pineapple , dank, tangerine and most definitely a hop presence. a very inviting smell.
Taste...a very bitter grapefruit start melting into a dank bitter. I expected it to be a little sweeter in some parts. It is good just thought i would enjoy have a sweeter middle and less bitter. The finish is dry and bitter for sure.
Feel...Excellent body and carbonation with some nice lacing.
Overall...This is very good but not world class to me. Well made just not as good as some of the locals i have at my disposal. When you pay almost 20 or more i want the goods. Nice but not world class
