A massive space perfect for hosting events only open a few weeks now so only have 4 beers on tap but currently brewing two more right now, all the beers are solid and well made.kid friendly with room for them to play corn hole and an area for them to play with chalk on the walls tons of inside and outside seating a TV.overall a very promising future for the this brewery worth a visit if your in the area.

Old industrial building with lots of exposed brick and wood beams. Long bar made from reclaimed wood.
Large taproom with stage.
Just 6 beers on tap when I visited.
Large outdoor area, almost all concrete with a bit of artificial lawn in the center. It was a hot sunny day and people were desperate for shade.

After being open a few months now, the beer is starting to flow out of the brew house, with 9 beers on tap they have a beer to quench anyone's thirst. With a just announced music series Mother Stewart's is quickly becoming a regional destination for the craft beer and music lover.

I love this gorgeous restoration project of the historic metal casket factory in downtown Springfield, Ohio built in 1884 and closed in the 1970s. Mother Stewart's was built in one of the small three story buildings on the complex. The warehouse is supported with huge antique wood beams that have been exposed to show the natural wood grain. Salvaged wood from the rehab went into the construction of the extra long bar in the tap room and other furniture.
The owners, the Loftis brothers, run the brewery, craft the beers and rehabbed the building with their family construction company, a generational force in Springfield. Their beer is approachable and taste great especially for a brand new brewery. New beer recipes are available on tap, in a growler, or in a mini-keg.
The best thing about Mother Stewart's in my opinion is the expansive outdoor beer garden. Complete with german beer tables, bocce ball, grass yard with trees and easy chairs. In the warmer months there are live events outside. Many different food trucks are available most days. In the colder months they have events in the brewery itself. Also there are indoor board games and social craft activities to participate in.
The overall feel is a high end, yet rustic feeling brewery that is very family friendly and attracts community events and regulars. Its by far the best place to stop in Springfield if you crave new craft beers just a few miles off interstate 70.

This is an unusually large and quality venue for a small city. The owners went big and went first class with their investment. A 100 year old coffin factory has been converted into a brewery and taproom that likely accomdates 300 beer lovers. Currently only 4 beers on tap after being opened only 3 weeks, all 8 taps will fill out with house beers in the coming weeks. Food trucks on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
