Absolutely the best US beer in its price range. Everything is expensive now, and this is the most gratifying beer you'll find this cheap.

From can into pint
Look: Clear gold yellow, pouring a frothy 1.5 finger head which dissipated into a thin cap
Smell: lightly toasted cereal malt and a hint of herbal/citrusy hops. Weak
Taste: Corn and cereal grain. Hint of hops bitterness but quickly fades. Finish leaves a sweet toasted bread note. Boring
Feel: Thin, moderate carbonation, semi-crisp finish
Overall: One of my more favorite macro beers due to some real flavor notes, but with that said, this is a really mellow beer

Poured from a 16-oz can into a pint glass.
Look: gold, semi-transparent. Your standard "beer" look. No real head to speak of.
Smell: Corn, some indistinct sweetness
Taste: Corn, grains, also a subtle bit of hops. Mellow and very drinkable.
Feel: Watery, just a little carbonation; enough to make you want another sip.
Overall: This is what I think of when someone says "American beer". It's easy to drink, cheap, and it goes with almost any situation. Pairs well with your favorite music at a concert, hot dogs/burgers/pizza, and may result in bad decisions being made after a few too many.

This rating is strictly geared towards cheap American domestic beer. Perhaps the best beer in the section has a bitter flavor that tastes great with a crisp finish with small notes of sweetness and is not as heavy as Budweiser. This is my go-to beer and is very affordable. My favorite beer ever.

Look - pale gold, very light and clear. white head, thin lacing
Smell - old school - corn, hops, bready
Taste - hop bitterness followed by sweet fruit that lingers
Feel - light body, well carbonated, crisp finish
Overall - Decided to review this in honor of my late father's birthday today. This was always in stock in his fridge so I'd say I've had my fair share of it. Gotta say I think it's one of the best old school beers out there. If you're on a road trip with your old man going to a Nascar race and you happen to be knocking these back then crank up Highway Star by Deep Purple and enjoy the ride. PBR me, ASAP!

Cold tall boy can featuring a mix of art of classic labeling on the front, and art by Andrew McDonald on the rear. Listed at 4.7% abv
Poured aggresively into a tall pint glass, Pabst pours humongous white dish soap bubbles ontop of a pencil yellow soda pop body. Lots of Bubbles cling to the side of the glass as the head collapses. I let it rest at 3/4 full then drop the remaining beer on top. Beer now looks complete. The head leaves a thin lacing around the perimetre.
Under the shnoze; Lots of sugar. Very light malts , flaked maize. Very clean.
A very neautral American lager taste. Very light with very little describable features. Nice touch of bitternes at the end with a subdued hop bite and bubbegum fruity aftertaste leading upto an astringent finish.
A very light bodied lager beer with no classic malt taste. Not even a hint. Curious as to if this would vary from bottle to can and by the style of pouring?
In the end; just be prepared for a rather sugary soda pop type beer. I can see this beer going well with take out Chinese food or perhaps a spectacular pile of veggies and dip.
$2.15 a pint.

Canned 5/23/22; drank 10/28/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy eggshell head; frothy lace.
Corn, rice & mild mint notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Corn, mild rice & faint mint flavors; not bad, really!

This is a good day beer if you want to pop a new one every thirty minutes. There isn't a satisfying mouth feel. There is the tiniest of burns in the back of the throat that quickly fades. Okay flavor. Cheap. So that's a plus. Pay 50 cents more a can and just get something better.

PBR is a classic beer that has a slight bitterness that is quite enjoyable. It is a little stronger than most American Lagers I've tried. Overall a solid beer for a good price.

What can you really say about this American classic that hasn't been said already? Highly drinkable with a classic flavor. Sure, there's better beers out there, but 15 bucks for a 24 pack is hard to beat. Beats any Natty or Keystone, for sure. And I'll drink this over Budweiser ANYDAY. Perfect for relaxing on the porch and watching the the hurricane blow by, or mowing the grass on a hot summer day. Smells of grain and malt with a touch of hops. Very clean, unoffensive classic taste that's way better than most other American adjunct lagers. Grab a couple of cases and throw em' on ice. You'll be glad you did!

If you’re gonna call your shit ‘Blue Ribbon’ or ‘King Of’, it better be pretty damn good.
Right?
Hello?
So. As an American institution, right of passage, fire extinguisher, lubricant, douche, road beer in the pick up, teenage training wheels, college frat swill, and just thirst quencher, it totally deserves its red white and blue label.,.
And wash down 6 Taco Bell Supremes at 4 AM?
Get outta here!

This review will only be limited to the category of American Adjunct Lager. With that said we can skip the looks smell and feel because it doesnt matter when it comes to this. Pabst is probably my favorite of all the commercial beers with Miller Highlife right behind it. Never have understood why so many people insist on drinking Bud Light and it's the worst we'll,. I take that back. Natural Light is the worst beer in history but it is the same company. Anybody remember when Bud Dry was introduced? I have a suspicion that they accidently fermented all the sugars out of a batch making it dry as in 0 on a hydrometer. They tried to sell what they could but nobody liked it. The commercial said "Why Ask Why?". "Drink Bud Dry". Anyway, Pabst is pretty good with lime and salt but always make sure it is as cold as ice without freezing. It's the best of the shit beers so to say.

This definitely wasn't as bad as some like to say, which is usually the case with macro beers. But there was an odd... idk what to call it but it wasn't a normal beer flavor. Definitely not a favorite but not undrinkable

One of those beers from back in the day when I was in the service and when I was in college. When the money was tight, we could always afford it because we paid about 4 or 5 dollars for a 12 pack. I'll drink it anytime it's offered.

I mean, it’s PBR. It’s for high school kids who think they are nerdier and more discriminating than the jocks who drink natty light. It doesn’t taste good at all. Like piss in a can.
