Absolutely awful. The taste of Old Milwaukee is so repulsive, I would only drink it if the life of another human being depended on it. Worst. Macro. Ever.

Why Old Milwaukee Light is rated so high and this one isn't is beyond me. Anyways, 16 oz pounder poured into a glass for appearances' sake.

Appearance (3.5) : Dusty, fluffy white cap about 3 fingers tall, receding to a stout two fingers and staying there. Impressive. Body is typical pale straw colored with almost no opacity.

Aroma (3.5) : Sweet grain, musty barley, some corn, roses, and the faintest whiff of a ghost of a hop leaf. Typical lager smell, a bit more floral and clean than others.

Flavor (3.25) : Malt, buttered corn, cereal grains, faint ripe banana, more corn. Some 2-D hop going on, not exactly palatable but it's there. This one isn't too bad, it's not real great either.

Mouthfeel (3) : Carbonated, crisp, very faintly smooth but not enough to classify as smooth. On par for the style.

Overall (3.06) : Hey, it's not all that bad. It's a bottom shelf beer, sure, but I've had way way way way worse. For $8 a 12 pack, or $4 a 6 pack...it's a cheap beer and great with beef sticks (which I opted for as a combo, instead of buying a bar beer at $2 a pop while I went to waste $10 at the vid lot machine. Seemed much more economical to spend $4 on a six pack.)

Drank from the can. Can see light yellow some little lace. Smell is yeast and adjuncts. Dry smell. Taste is dry and yeasty and adjuncts. Almost like PBR but boozier to me. Makes my face hot fairly quickly. I like it as much as my go to PBR

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

A clear golden colored body with a lot of rising bubbles. A white fizzy head disappears quickly. No lacing.

The aroma is slightly metallic, with notes of corn and cereal grains.

Thankfully, the taste is slightly better than the aroma. Slightly metallic, maybe a hint of corn adjuncts. Not much else.

Mouthfeel is watery and carbonated.

Overall, I rated this in comparison with other adjunct lagers, and quite frankly this beer tastes as clean and refreshing as all the others at a cheaper price. This will be my cheap go-to beer when needed.

Large fluffy white head. Decent retention. Some lacing. Clear, light golden body. Active carbonation.

Mild. Sweet malt. Light floral hops.

Stale corn and malt. Not as sweet as expected. Dry and stale.

Body is somewhere between light and medium. Dry stale finish lingers. Strong carbonation.

Maybe this beer was not stored properly or was abused somehow? I was expecting more. This beer is pretty smooth. The appearance and aroma are inviting. But it just doesn't taste that good.

Not bad brew very similar to PBR but not as good....still rather have an ice cold Old Mil than a Budweiser or Coors any day....Old Mil has decent hops for a cheap beer and it is excellent for mixing with stouts and porters to make cheap amber lagers. For $6.99 a 12 pack it is hard to beat and much better than it's main competitor on the shelf Milwaukee's Best. This beer actually won some awards back in the day so give it a break and evaluate it for what it is.... a cheap American Style beer....

Comparable to pbr, I don't know why theres so much hate for this beer. Its a good alternative to bud light, highlife, nat light, or keystone.

Its not going to challenge or excite your tongue. But it dosn't bother mine at all. I think pbr is better but this one is better that high life in my opinion.

Appearance: pours a thick white head which recedes quickly. Light lacing. Pale straw color with much streaming carbonation.
Aroma: corn husks, lightly toasted barley, not much else
Mouthfeel: light and watery, a little papery. Finish is quite dry.
Flavor: white bread, corn sweetness, maybe a hint of hop bite.
Overall: ok, especially at the bargain price, but nothing to get excited about.

Old Milwaukee beer is classic brew, That is brew by Past brewing company. This brew has an ABV of 4.60%. Old Milwaukee pours out a nice a golden Amber color, with a small white head. The smell of Old Milwaukee, is rich with grains and malts. You pick up a hit of of hops in the smell of this brew. Now for the taste, it is sweet taste, it not bad. You pick up grains and malts in the taste of this brew. There is nothing overpowering about Old Milwaukee, it has a nice claen balance to it. The Mouthfeel of Old Milwaukee is clean, smooth and refreshing. This brew has the look smell and taste of most american style brews on the market today. I'm no saying that is a bad thing. Old Milwaukee is a Classic brew with a lot of history behind it. This is one of the more milded brews on the market. However it is a nice brew to drink with you are in the mood for a american larger. Overall I'm giving Old Milwaukee a 3.5 out of 5. This is a nice smooth drinking brew with no bad aftertaste. I would buy this brew again. Pabst Brewing Company did a nice job with this one.

Pale yellowish-amber color, clear with no cloudiness, lots of carbonation. Malty aromas, but not from barley- corn? rice? Tastes of sweet maltiness, can't really discern any hops. Feels robust, but the carbonation balances it out a bit. Look, this is just not a great beer...but, I had to go grab one and review it for a couple of reasons. (1) Takes me back to golfing with the boys in college, and (2) reminds me of my Grandfather, a man's man who took it to the Nazis back in '44 in a B-24, got shot down, and walked 200 miles to the Adriatic sea to be rescued.

Poured from a hunting season commemorative can, camouflage with blaze orange inlay. It really caught my eye this deer hunting season.

The color pale wheat, aroma, dry wheat, malt. Hard to pick up much if any aroma.

Easy drinking light lager. Nothing to write home about, but enough malt presence to keep it interesting. As with the smell, if I swish it around a dry wheat taste holds in my mouth. Perfect with a shot. Slightly sweet as it warms, but not overly. Needs a little more weight, and it could be a good everyday beer. This was the beer I remember my mom always drinking, and she kept it in the garage, no fridge.

"It doesnt get any better than this"...if this is all you got it isnt that bad.

Pint can, into my Leffe chalice. (thanks leffe, for the
"free" glass)

Bogus, almost clear yellow coloration, with a head that recedes almost as fast a Ted T's

Smell: Holy carp!! It actually has a smell! Grain. To much, but at least
it's something.

Taste: Well.. Grain and alcohol. Ok.

Mouthfeel: Best part, moderate instead of water. pleasantly surprised by this.

Not bad for what it is. Better than most.

For some reason I actually like this karp. The best of the style imo.

I typically wait to try mainstream American/Canadian adjunct lagers if they happen to show up at various social functions or restaurants where there are few other (better) beer options. Too fizzy and weak flavor-wise as a general rule, although these beers can be nostalgic and are great if you really are just in the mood to drink socially without constantly taking tasting notes or analyzing everything else going on with the brew. Old Milwaukee is very, very pale straw colored with the requisite level of mouth-numbing carbonation and white foam. Also classic is the muted, tenuous flavor profile and aroma. This example is corn-forward and fairly sweet, corn meal and boiled dough along with some subtle off-flavors (the sweetness tastes a bit artificial like aspartame) ... Chalky and dry body keeps the sweetness lower than in some other adjunct lagers but the corniness and cooked flavors do add a little nuance I suppose. Mellow and largely unoffensive.

Typical american adjunct lager, straw color, no lacing, tastes like every other adjunct lager. Cheap but better than a light beer. Id recommend this if your going to a party and want to bring alot of it for cheap. this is a way to go! Its crisp/carbonated/ and you can drink alot of these before you feel it!

One of the best cheap AA Lager of there. Beats out Dos esquis, Coors light , bud light , miller high life, Busch just name a few.

Appearance: Looks like a straw beer. Yellow

Smell : Like American adject lage should smell like grains

Taste: Some grains and malts with little bite at the end. It very smooth old school beer taste.

Moutfeel: " Is medium to light

Overall : One is the best discounted American Adjunct Lagers out there. Old Milwaukee has that old school beer taste which you real can not find in many beers today.

A: Pours a perfectly clear golden color with some big, perky bubbles of carbonation. The white head is initially tall, with a thin, foamy texture. Retention is below average, as the head dissipates fairly quickly. Minimal splotches of lace stick to the glass.

S: Faintly grainy and corny. There's some light herbal/grassy character, along with some light sourness. Really not much here to work with.

T: Thin, crackery malt flavor up front, with a firm dose of corny adjunct flavor. Hop bitterness adds a drying touch and some mild grassy flavor. There's a faintly sour twang with very light fruit punch notes towards the finish.

M: Thin body. Any malt heaviness quickly fades into a seltzery, dry finish.

O: No surprises - this is pretty bad. If you dropped a shot glass of PBR into a cup of club soda, it'd be pretty close to Old Milwaukee.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into my Duvel tulip glass. Consumed on 8/21/13.

A – Big, foamy, white head. Carbonation clings all over the inside of the glass. Pale, straw yellow in color, and as clear as the glass it's in. Head dies down fast and leaves lacing.

S – Slight cooked corn, skunky grain, but still mostly clean. Not much there, and no hops aroma. Mildly off putting, but clean enough to not be too offensive.

T – Very clean and crisp. Not much going on, but what little is does have going on is very agreeable. A little sweetness transitions into some mild bitterness in which the slightest hop flavor can be detected in the dry aftertaste.

M – Very light bodied. Low to medium carbonation. Pleasantly dry in the finish.

O – This is a very cheap beer with a bad rep, and I would argue a bad rap as well. I think it is great for the price point, which is $3.99 for a sixer of pounders by me. That makes it just about the cheapest, not-on-sale beer I can buy. However, it is light years away from great or even good, and I would likely be telling a completely different tale if it wasn't just out of a cold fridge.

Aight, ..this was my son's fave, cheap beerverage , and i'm pleased to say, if this got him through his 1st year at university, i'm ok with that.

Straight out of the can.. fellas, because this may be the closest you'll ever get your lips on someone that looks like that!

See: Platinum head with little memory, soft shoulders with a sheer layer overtop, blonde nectar, bubbly throughout and rising from the greatest little shoes.

Hear: I've heard this beer is great on price but you get what you pay for.

Smell: Sweet nothingness... but slight spice, as well.

Taste: In style and good on it's own.

Feel: Fresh, clean & satisfying. Stevia sensation teases.

Blanket: "And if you can't be with the one you love, honey...Love the one you're with".

AKA: Still's Swill

P.S: I have just been informed by my son that he no longer has to drink Old Mill as he can now afford better beer.

I bought these in cans and poured it into a glass.

For a cheap beer, this is a pretty safe bet. Has a slight sweet, corn taste, decent head, and while not terrific it is quite drinkable. I have had way worse beer and not all of them were as low cost.

It's a great beer to buy in bulk if you are supplying free beer for a BBQ or something.

Well it says on the top of the can "America's Best Tasting Beer." If that was true, I'd move, now. This is one of those beers you should only drink if its free and even then, not always. It's your average watered down, nothing to it beer. Heavily carbonated. There's a hint of hoppiness which is nice but there's a weird sweet/metalic flavor that just shouldn't be there. It's a little malty and is drinkable. The bad tastes that are there aren't overbearing, but that's probably because simply everything about this beer is not overbearing. It smells like someone spilled beer on your couch three days ago, but to it's credit it also smells crisp and grassy, like a corn field. Aftertaste is nonexistent, which is nice, because as bad as this beer is, at least it doesn't stick around.

Old Milwaukee from a can, poured into dimpled mug. Appearance is light yellow, fizzy with huge white head that dissapates quickly. Smell is harsh and grainy. Taste is smooth. Drinkability is very high. Mouthfeel is thin and a little watery. Old Milwaukee is a great lawnmower beer and one of my favorite cheap beers.

A lighter beer, that's good on price.

Light, pale straw color. Fizzy, very carbonated. The head doesn't last very long.

Mostly smells like hops.

The taste is almost all hops and carbonation, a little bitterness. Everyone complaims how bitter this beer is, but it's not that bad. I like bitters though.

Light, carbonated and fizzy.

It's a good beer, cheap price. If it's cold, it's very refreshing. I'll pick it up once in a while.

I've been beer slummin' lately; trying out various cheap beers. $11.99 for a 24 pack of this stuff. This will end up being either and incredible value, or a case of you get what you pay for. How bad can a fifty cent beer be? I can still remember fifty cent draws, afterall.

Okay, I am rating this beer according to its style. It is an American adjunct lager, intended for the working masses who don't have much green to throw out for "quality" beer. The first thing, serve this cold. Second, drink it from the can. The smell can be off putting if you pour it into a glass; sour grassiness mixed with a faint odor of...pee? As long as you drink it from the can so that you don't involve the olfactory organ, it's okay.

I was actually surprised by this beer. Rather than being a flavorless, watered down version of something claiming to be beer, it actually had flavor. Not great flavor, mind you. But flavor. It tasted of sweet grain with just a tad (a tad, mind you) of hops. The finish was nothing to get excited about; very short, but very dry. High amount of carbonation gives the illusion of more mouthfeel than is actually present. Served cold, it is very refreshing.

Overall, this is a nice beer, given its low price. I'm not a huge fan of this style of beer, but when I do drink it, I don't want to pay a lot of money for it. Lawn mower beer, yard beer, whatever you want to call it, it has its place. Old Milwaukee, served up cold, is a nice refreshing lager at a great price. When do you buy it? When it's on sale, and you've got a cookout that necessitates a large quantity of beer. Overall, very average, but sometimes that's all you need. Why eat steak when a burger will do?

and if i recall this beer won 5 gold medals from 2003 - 2007 at the great american beer festival?

Cheap swill my friend unexpectedly brought by when picking up a CD he left during a previous night of heavy metal and drunken revelry. Appearance is clear golden straw with no head; I can actually see the label of the book behind it through the glass, haha. Smell is nonexistent; maybe a little bit of corn and adjunct grains. At least it doesn't have the dirty crotch smell of shit like Bud Light.

Tastes like corn and water, just like all of the other unexciting American macrolagers. Surprisingly, the carbonation is somewhat subdued in comparison to other adjunct pale lagers, and I kind of wish it wasn't. Mouthfeel is incredibly slick. This is bad, but not horrible, especially for the price.
