This beer comes from the famous Mcsorley's. Which is the longest running saloon in NYC, kind of cool. Their beers are brewed in Penn. This Irish Pale Ale was poured into a Pint glass.
Appearence: Amber, reddish color with a half inch of fluffy head which melts away into a paper thin head. Light carbonation.
Smell: Kind of creamy maybe malty also. Its hard to say... not the best smell from a beer.
Taste: Subtle hop taste, not much excitement goin on. Although this brew is creamy smooth and goes down easy. No indication of the ABV, i think maybe around 5%.
Drinkability: Interesting Irish Ale to try. I would not purchase again... Unless i can find it on Tap somewhere.

MD had visited our NY friends prior to my arrival and enjoyed the dark, so naturally I went and reviewed the light... while also enjoying a dark, coined as the "1 and 1." Anyways as I sit in this piece of American history that is McSorely's Ale House, I am pleased by the wonderful presentation of the beer. The light glistens in the dim bar lighting and boasts a fluffy looking head that invites you to dive in. Slight hop aroma, but more biscuity. Taste wise it is crisp, light, almost non-existent in any dominating flavor. I'd say it is just there to provide you with a task as you sit in the bar and that is to converse and enjoy one another's company. I really don't believe the abv listed on BA of 5.5 because I think I could have had 4 before feeling anything. A really cool spot to hang.

I bought this because I had heard of McSorley’s Pub in NYC and didn’t realize until later that it was brewed by Pabst. It pours hazy amber under a 1.5” white foam cap. Spicy hops and fruit aromas. The palate starts creamy with some light fruit and finishes with spicy hops. Medium light body, creamy, medium carbonation. Drinkable but not special.
