So I've been to Masonville Cove and a few other of the Trash Wheels so this was an easy pick. Nice billowy head and herbal hops in the nose. Kind of mellow in the flavor but a decent hop resin bitterness in the aftertaste. Maybe a bit watery on the back end. Decent drinkin' IPA for the summer.

Appearance: Large white head with good lacing over a clouded amber body.
Aroma: Subtle tropical fruit along with a bit of citrus.
Taste: Gets a little spicier but not bitter. Tropical fruit stays a factor.
Feel: Smooth, medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel.
Overall: Sessionable and easy-to-drink but nothing distinctive.

Happy New CANned Collab Beer Sunday (Week 770)! This one is stretching the theme a tad since it is a charity collab as noted on the CAN. This is CANother from my local, in-person trader, @tone77 who I have on a hiatus as I try to get out from under the backlog here at Chez Woody. It is a real boon for The CANQuest (tm), but I have pretty much stopped buying more beer for the meantime.
From the CAN: "A Collaboration with Healthy Harbor"; "Session IPA"; "A Hiss-toric Meeting"; "Mr. Trash Wheel is sustainably-powered, garbage-guzzling engineering marvel. He's eaten hundreds of tons of trash from Baltimore's Inner Harbor and once nearly ate a friendly but disoriented python. Lost Python Ale is a tribute to the unexpected friends who can wiggle into our hearts when we filter through the garbage that life sends us."; "A portion of proceeds from every beer sold are donated to the Healthy Harbor Initiative."
I Crack!ed open the CAN's vent only to be greeted with a spritz across my fingertips! 8=O Are pythons venomous?!? A python in every CAN?!? Eeek. My slow, gentle C-Line Glug produced two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with very good retention, leaving massive lacing in its wake. Color was a beautiful Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity, like liquefied sunshine on this dreary, rainy Fall morning! Naturally, The Gelt Gang of Midas, Croesus & Mammon dropped in for a taste. Nose was quite citrusy, very much of lemon & grapefruit with a touch of biscuit-y malt. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was not as pronounced as the nose which is my usual bugaboo with Session AIPAs - they are such a letdown from nose to taste. 8=( Finish was semi-dry, but it simply lacked Ooomph! YMMV.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of citrus. Taste is of citrus, little else, fairly mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an easy drinking and decent beer, but a bit of a one trick pony with the citrus.

Had from can. Really nice multi-finger head. Rarely see that in IPA's these days. Hazy orange body. Very dank hopped aroma. Taste follows the aroma with grapefruit / dank flavors and a moderate bitter finish with considerable linger. That is typical for a sub-5% session IPA. Watery yet soft mouthfeel if that combo is possible. Overall its a respectable session IPA for a style I generally don't care for too much.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours semicloudy orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and earthy hops. Tastes of sweet grain with citrus hops and earthy aftertaste. Beer is light bodied and very easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Can dated 07/03/18 into a nonic pint.
L: Pours slightly hazy light golden with almost 2 fingers of medium density frothy head with moderate retention and left mixed lacing.
S: Nose is heavy on citrus, orange peel and lemon zest, with some subtle floral undertones.
T: Follows the nose to a large degree, lacks dynamic taste as most Session IPAs tend towards. Finishes with some bitterness and moderate astringency, astringency lingers on the palate.
F: Low body with medium carbonation, subtle tongue tingling from the carbonation and astringency, slick on the swallow.
O: A nice gift from a colleague after some recent travel to Baltimore. Its a fine beer for a hot afternoon (like today) but not one that is particularly memorable nor would I repeat.
