ONE WORD! GOYA! One sniff and drink of this perfectly named 14.9% imperial stout and it was instantly in my top ten! This is easily the best imperial stout in New Mexico and possibly one of my favorites all time from the Land Of Enchantment. The Goya is very complex and well balanced, it had a beautiful head and is very aromatic. The taste is deep and rich with a complexity that is polished to perfection. From my experience high ABV beers are hard to perfect and usually have an unbalance of flavors some too sweet or too dry leaving you with a bad or overwhelming aftertaste that can ruin a great idea of a beer. Not the Goya. The Goya is reason enough for Duel to exist and this beer should be a must try for everyone in Albuquerque!
The vibe I only gave a 3.5 because the live music wasn't my cup of tea, also its kind of new to the scene so I think they are still figuring out who they are here in ABQ. Quality 4, I got to sample quite a few of their beers and liked a lot of what I tried. Service, 5, this may have been the best all around service I have gotten at a brewery here in the Burque. Throughout the evening we talked with 3 different bartenders and all of them were very friendly fun but also very knowledgeable about beers. They all had strong opinions on their favorite beers at Duel and also local brews in town. The selection was good. Not a huge selection but definitely a well thought-out selection of really good and unique local beers from really good and unique local breweries. Food N/A I didn't try the food, my buddy did and he seemed to enjoy it, however the menu did look promising.

ok vibe/environment and extremely convenient location for me, huge plus. Outside of Goya, pretty unimpressed with the quality of Duel beers but half their taps are from outside breweries, which is inviting. My experience has found Albuquerque to offer maybe the worst customer service out there, but this goes against that norm and has been really good. Sometimes I wish the servers were a little more knowledgeable about the beer their were serving, but I am just happy with how attentive and on top of things they are here. Enjoy that they offer cheese and charcuterie playes, their sandwiches are decent but forgettable. My biggest gripe with this place is their prices, which is absolutely off the charts ridiculous for a number of beers. Beers are priced in tiers (1-4) and, honestly, I am always hesitant to buy anything beyond Tier 1. One of the most over priced drinking establishments I have come across, IMO.
