A decent Austrian lager.

Pours a clear light yellow with fine, soapy head.

Smell is crackery and floral with notes of white bread, citrus and Saltines.

Taste is crackery, crisp and clean. Notes of bread crust, citrus and some floral hints. Soft bitterness, very easy to drink and refreshing.

Mouthfeel is thin to medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a good, solid macro lager, easy to drink and well made.

Bitter. Pfiuuuu... from the gas station, when you're desperate to tey something new, and the selection is poor.

Refreshing but nothing amazing; but that may also be its charm. It is a refreshing lager without any bitter after taste. It is a pleasant drink. It has a light feel, a natural look, clear look and very little, if any smell' however, it is a pleasant, refreshing drink. To me (And I have been tasting and testing beers for over 10 years) it was better than expected but not anything more than what it is - a very good refreshing lager.

Way under-rated. This is what Euro Pale lagers should taste like. Simple, clean, enjoyable.
Of course, Gosser doesn't do much more than be an enjoyable lager... but that is its job.

I went on their website and the company seems to be a brand manager for Heineken for at least a dozen beers.
So, why is this only my first from Brau Union of Austria? Why wouldn't Heineken use its network to distribute these other Austrian brands in North America ?

While this is part of a very large corporation, Brau Union seems sincerely devoted to Austria's beer culture. Just send a few more across the pond !

This is what Miller High Life should be! To me it seems that MHLife was modeled after this beer. It's obviously far better. Pretty typical Euro Lager. Nothing really stands out, but that's it's beauty. This beer has a decent amount of carbonation...and just the right body/ABV. You can slam 4 or 5 of these half liters (in a decent glass of course) and feel great. Not too bitter, nor sweet, or tart...No too much of this or that...just smooth, very smooth, and extremely drinkable. This is the ultimate ubiquitous, plain ole' beer... I should mention how reasonably priced it is. A 4 pack of h/liter cans can be had for around $7.00 with tax. Not bad for such decent quality brew. This will definitely be in my rotation... a great all around beer for all seasons...

From das tall boy can in a snifter. This decent solid standard
lager pours a clear peach tinged straw color with a nice head of white
foam that settles to a thick ring, thin pool, and displays some nice sudsy lacing.
Nose of light grains and subtle sweetness with a hint of grassy hops---very mild
and subtle. Flavors exceed the nose by presentation with light honey touch wheat
malts and light grassy herbal hops on the rear. Nice mouth feel; medium high
carbonation, medium light body, and a clean subtly sweet hop tinged finish.

Nothing to hate, but not outstanding.
A decent session lager.

Clean golden color, messy head. Smell unremarkable. Taste pleasant enough but nothing distinguishing. Pleasant mouthfeel all around, with good balance of carbonation.

Yellow pour, typical appearance for a Euro lager, white head 1/2". Aroma had some humid forest going for it.

Taste and mouthfeel was a highly carbonated affair, lacked the skunk. Alcohol felt warming. Easy enough to drink, although it comes in at craft prices despite it coming across like a mass produced noble hopped in a small way light Euro beer.
