As you enter the store you see a long narrow store with a small bar up front so you can have one of the beers on tap. The walls on both sides of the store are lined with shelves and cold boxes full of different beers. In addition there are some beer packages and shelf racks in a shorter center island which leaves room near the front for a table that allows a small group to sit and have a beer together.

On the left side of the store are several cold cases. You can make a mixed six from any of the cold cases but there are two pricings for a mixed six. Use only the cans and bottles in from the first 5 cases and a mixed six will cost you $13.99. If you any pick beers from the other cases all the bottles are individually priced and the cost of your mixed six is going to be the total of the can/bottle prices for those six beers. While the beer prices seem on the high side they are pretty much consistent with what you'll find in a PA bottle shop.

On the shelves there are lots of IPAs and several other styles of beer. The Belgian selection seems to be focused mostly on Trappist and Abbey ales. The slots in the cold cases house lots of variety.

The store does host occasional tastings and have a knowledgable friendly helpful staff

While a bit small and crowded if there are more than a few people there the general ambiance/vibe is warm welcoming.

Also, a note for folks who are driving there, while there are few parking spaces at the front of the building there is more parking and a downstairs entrance to the store behind the building. Parking there can be much easier than trying to use one of the spaces in front of the store and dealing with the Baltimore Pike traffic, especially during rush hours. The driveway to use is right between the Music Store sign (one of the three shops in the same building as the Beer Store) and the Raymour and Flanagan building next door. That drive gets you around to the back end of the shops in the same building with the Craft Beer Store and then you can use the back entrance to the Craft Beer Store and go upstairs for your beer.
